Front: #2 pistons, 2 limiters, Kyosho bright orange springs, 30wt oil, inside on the tower, outside on the arm. 1mm camber washer, and inside on the tower, and inside on the 3 hole caster block. 24.5mm ride height.

Rear: #2 pistons, 2 limiters, Kyosho bright yellow springs, 27.5 oil, inside on the tower, and inside on the arm. 1 washer under the u-brace ball stud located on the inside hole of the u-brace. B hole on the "A" plastic insert of the aluminum 0 degree hubs. 3 degree toe block with "1" degree of anti squat. 24.5mm ride height. Thick battery pad in the front, and a thin one in the rear. Of course, all the weights in the usual places too. I honestly feel the key to this set up is the K springs...car stays so flat in the corners, and jumps like a dream.
I'm going to bookmark this! The kyosho srpings fit perfectly with our V2 shocks?

I agree that this is a very good setup for the B4, Long or Standard chassis. I've been running essentially the same thing with exception of 25* castor blocks an 25 wgt oil in back and out one hole on the rear tower. I've run this setup with both chassis configurations and have found it to be the best.

Like a charm. Durango springs fit better than the AE springs too. Spring chart with all AE, Durango, and Kyosho springs in order of spring constant:

What kind of track would this set up be the best for? I run on a hard packed damp, high traction indoor track. Would the springs listed above help more or less if right now I'm running associated brown in front and associated green in rear?

The track I race on was recently reworked. The traction is good enough to wheelie on the straights. I think Bilster's setup is definately worth trying.

I hit on a very similar setup mid summer and have only made minor adjustments to suit my driving style.

Previously the track had less grip (medium) and the setup still worked great.

The orange springs are slightly softer than the brown's. (More Steering)

The yellow springs are slightly softer than the silver's. (Again More Steering)

I'm able to run the car using little to no brake and it turns like 1/12th scale.

I have had better luck with the Durango springs.

Hard packed medium to high bite clay...two different tracks as well. One with dark clay, one with light.

They fit the shocks just fine. What they do for the car is good, because they appear to be progressive springs.

Are the Durangos a good fit on the collars too? I would like to try those...I bet they are easier to strip and polish too. Kyoshos are a pain, and a lot of work. I do like the course thread, self tapping, socket head bleeder cap screws...they NEVER strip out either !

Default b4.1 update

i have to say my 8mm has had me so happy and the only reason i switched is bc i whent to a hube 1.8 scale and 1.10 scale track and i didn't want it to break....ill order up the extended version it will prob handle better just since it is one peice and wont have a different way of flexing, the cut chassis have been dailed tho.... i see more and more going to it. brents setup is a dailed sob but not for the shortie

thanks to all on this thread who help out with most, cherry and muck are the first names coming to mind, matt trimmings also thanks you have helped me alot..

That's strange. This is the one that came on my rtr. I didn't know what the extra hole thing was for until my brother got an SC10. Why does the rtr come with that one but the FT version doesn't have it?
