Oh, no joke. I had no idea they were a different Pitch. Thank you.

No problem. The 2wd is 48p while the 4x4 is 32p so.....
But if Mantis hasnt blown the idler yet with how hard he is on it, it may just have to do with the tightness of the slipper and how hard you are on throttle when you land. Either way, I am loving tis truck and will stick with it till the end.
I do feel that the engineers at AE will revise the truck until it's money. itwould be nice for AE to throw us a bone every once in a while and let us "commoners" know whats up, what to look forward to, and how it will help more races be won.

Yeah. I just was browsing, saw it. And quickly asked while there were so many people viewing the thread. I didn't even care to read the details on the idler, The pics were enough to see it wasn't 48p cause it's such a close up. My brain fart for the day.

Like I said, I agree. It'd be nice to be thrown a "thanks for sticking with it, we're listening" bone. Fo Sho.

MMP in Smartsense w/10 deg timing. ESC/motor both coming off @ 110-120.

Only people with a reinforced slipper are, not us all.

There's some of us who don't want/need that extra slipper grip while running pinned.

That extra grip is what kills the rear transmission.

Remove the basket, leave the garodiscs/HD pads, lighten the pressure on the pads and you're good to go.

It's a tradeoff. Basket or pinned. Not both.

Default Pinned Shaft Slipper Clutch Warning

I think it's time enough seeing everyone else's comments
------------

Pinned Top Shaft Drivers
This is a warning from here on out.

Do not run your Pinned SC10 4x4 with the slipper settings you are used to.

Due to the pinned fix, the slipper should be treated as it states in the manual. Once pinned, go to factory settings on your slipper clutch and begin tuning from there for minimal slip.

Failure to do this will result in Stripped Idler Gears and further repairs.

(I am not trying to be dramatic. It just is easy to search and find this if entered in the thread correctly)

They are using the basket as it's intended. Torque that bitch down. You CANNOT do that with a pinned Top shaft. It's been stated a dozen times now. You must begin using the slipper as it's intended. To SLIP.

That's what I was refering to

People give full pressure to the slipper, and doing that with the pinned shaft just (as you said) BLOWS transmissions up.

Pinned!! Now to redo the diffs, and replace the super wobbly outdrives that led to some diff gear internals chipping teeth...

Your truck has the slipper adjusted correctly, those other users are morons. Seriously.
