Honestly, the best answer to this question is to go to the track and see what everyone else is running. I personally like AKA products, so I would recommend either re-bars if it is a high bite track and gridirons if it is a medium bite track that tends to get a little loamy. Do they water the track or is it dry?

Sounds like it is probably a pretty sticky, high bite clay track, so I would try re-bars.

Marcus, hang in there, I'm coming LOL! Seriously, went through the same thing with the 2wd version. The "kit" setup on the original trucks was almost undrivable, was ready to pitch it first time I went to the track. You've seen how it evolved. Some good suggestions, particularly the antisquat changes and shock limiting. I think I posted before I've limited the front on every AE I've ever owned but the B4. Mine should be here today, hope to get out with it a little this weekend, then see what I want to add first. Will def need your saddle pack conversion and probably clutch discs for starters. We'll get it figured out.

Clay tire:

rebars: lot's of forward not much sidebite or turn-in

wishbone: nice forward and lot's of mid corner steering

Barcodes: lot's of forward, lot's of initial turn-in, lot's of stability

Post your set up im not sure that i have seen it.

Standing shocks up will allow more rotation. even thicker rear diff oil will help but that's a fine line between losing corner traction and rotation.

nothing will cure the other drivers problem. the biggest part is that they don't stop either they drive through you.
Front:
4mm RC
1.5*camber
30k dif fluid
RCshox pistons 45wt(i am changing piston specs this week)
outside arm mounted
middle tower
ride height 24mm

Rear:
0 RC
2* camber
5k (seriously want to try 15k maybe 10)
32.5 RCS pistons
outside arm mounted
middle tower
ride height 25mm

so with all of the suggestions here is what i am going to configure and test this week:

15k front dif
10k rear dif
5mm front RC
3mm rear RC
3-3 on rear toe block (more anti squat)

I am changing dimensions on the pistons this week so i am not sure what fluids i will go with but will more than likely start with 25/25

a few months ago i machined a ball center dif on my 1/10 4w buggy and it work great, since its a ball dif it will not "dif" out but will still allow some action kinda like a 30k center diff. i can easily machine one to fit this truck so i think before i pin the slipper i will try the center dif.

Here's some pics of my "pinning". I chewed up the pulley a little more than is needed. Pics should explain. Used a pretty beefy pin from my rc8, had to trim it down it fit within the square in the pulley.

We'll see how it works wednesday. Also a pic of my bent a-arms.

Looks like my instructions helped! you did it perfect. the key here is not to use a wheel pin i cut off an end of a traxxas hingepin.

The more things change, the more they stay the same LOL. Don't remember who said it, but that "pinned" slipper looks just like the assembly on the 2's, 3's, and RC10GT. Truck got here today. Looking forward to trying out this ORCA speedo, first time I've ever seen one in person.

On the A-arms, is it just the fronts that warp? Got gift certificates for my bday that I didnt' use buying the truck, so looks like some wheels, tires, and spare parts are in order.

Is AE coming out with the 2nd pic of the Top shaft with pin hole & inner slipper hub, with the indent for the pin.....That 2nd picture, looks like it mite solve all the problems, people are having....NICE JOB!!!
I said this before, i bought 2packs of Slipper Hardware, and used the thrust washer that was machined the widest...The widest was .27mm wider then the smallest of the 3 thrust washers i have.....So with that and HD pads in&out it worked well for me. I'm hoping the RCSHOX Dual slipper will make it even better!!....I can still use alil more burst from the slipper on the CLAY track i run on....

In the 3rd pic, what is the a-arm on the Right or LEFT bent??? or both warped???
Seems like u would have to take the A-ARMS off, to tell for sure.?.

thx

My rear arms look ok. Some De or the wide Jconcepts wheels would be good. Spares, servo saver assy, spur gears, maybe the steering uprights. Not many spares needed. I've run my truck w/ very little problem.

I'd get the rcshox slipper pads and or the MTK clutch basket as well.
