Sup guys,
Just getting back in the game. Grabbed a buggy and looking forward to ripping it up.
It's been quite a while since I raced (since 04-05 and even longer since I did offroad) and I had a couple questions. I saw the cab forward style body. The Finnisher I believe it's called. I'm assuming it's for more front downforce, thus more high speed / on power steering. Does it sacrifice too much to be used on all tracks or is it now just going to be the standard?

Well, I think they take the paint off. Then the spring steel is silver. You could probably use silver paint and paint over the older ones.

Just learned something new today. The B4.1 has a longer shock shaft than the B4 (.80 to a .71 ). What's the purpose of the longer shaft, and are there applications where the shorter shaft is still effective? I've searched the thread and found limited info.

how do you take the paint off the springs, im trying sanding but its difficult and taking up a lot of time, is there a simpler way to remove the paint?

You're correct, longer shock shafts will give you more droop....
Assuming that no limiters are used, longer front shock shafts will have more droop and the car will lean further back thus causing the weight to transfer to the back, creating more traction and less steering on exit.
Longer rear shock shafts will on the other hand cause for the car to lean further forward thus transferring the weight further forward and will give you more entering steering and the rear of the car will rotate faster.
Someone else colaborate further...

Don't sand; you will remove metal and can change the rate. Plus it takes forever...
Best way is to get some paint stripper from walmart or autozone and soak them overnight. The paint will literally fall right off. The gel works the best. Just be very careful - wear gloves and soak in a metal container (it'll eat right through plastic)
