Yes the stock and modded Argus engines like it on the hotter side of the scale on a 90+ degree day out here in so cal 250-260 cominig off the track at the end of a tank is where they like it.

Werks B5 engines run about 220-240 on a hot day.

Thanks,
Lance

Lance having problem with the motor. No time to run it with work and mother nature raining up here. Cant wait to run a few tanks thru it.

Just a quick question about restrictors. When you go down from a larger to smaller generally how much to you lean it out? 1-2 hours?

It depends on a lot of factors but usually a couple hours or so.

Also the Argus factory needle setting are set too rich most of the time even for break in. so you will have to initially adjust the low speed needle to where it is rich but will stay running. Also these engines like a Very hot plug for break in, we recommend the Rc-Pro #5 or Werks #5.

We set the needles back to factory setting after we run in the Race prepped to allow the user to tune from the beginning for the fuel, pipe, plug, weather etc...

Thanks,
Lance

First race completed on moded argus yesterday night. Engine ran flawless all day and very fast. Had a blast, fuel mileage was great even being fat. I could go almost 8 mins on a tank at close to flush settings... Vey pleased, job well done Lance! Engine has a very linear power band, defanitly the smoothest engine i have ran. Even spectators commented on how smooth engine sounded and ran. For the price of engine, mod, and proper pipe you cant beat it!

Anyone else using the 2013 pipe? I have the stock Argus motor with the 2013 pipe still have a few tanks thru it and was wondering what kind of times you were getting?

Im waiting for pay day to order the 801 pipe. Just curious.

2013 Has good bottom but lacks top on the Argus compared to the 0801 and 3033. It also get less mileage but it will work just fine until you get your next pipe.
