Hey Thorns,
I`m running in my second Ho at the moment.
The first i didn`t add a shim and it was a b##ch to turn over.
This one I have added a shim and it`s way easier to turn over, add a shim if you haven`t already.
I`m using a gel cell in my ofna truggy box, plenty of preheat and she turns over easy.

Hi Paul - Bill,
Yep, the Gel Cell is not the problem. 12v gel cell with a half decent charge will turn over pretty much anything.
Paul, I answered your PM on RC Racer. Check the starter box is lined up right and not jamming the starter box wheel on the chassis. Undo the glow plug a 1/2 turn when starting as described in my PM if the motor is really tight.
+1 on the .2mm shim too as Bill mentioned. I always fit the shim when running in. .2mm doesn't sound much, but it makes the job much easier on you and the motor - just remember to remove it after 12 - 15 tanks.
Using my run-in bench, after 3 tanks the motors will turnover easy as pie for starting when heated. I use a Q World "Top" model aircraft starter, which to be honest isn't super grunty by any stretch of the imagination. After the 10 tranks on the bench, the motor can just be turned over by hand using the propeller nose when hot (just stopped after a tank), but when cooled to room temperature still has significant pinch - perfect and ready to put on the track.
After 10 tanks on a run-in bench, you should be able to start the motor from cold on your starter box without difficulty, much less after heating. Check that alignment first.

There is a super special deal coming up with the GXII from GO Engine Co
.
I won't spill the beans on here. I know your national distributors will fill you in with the details when they are in a position to do so.
He he - that will send people scurrying to find out whats going on

any news on the other versions of the GXII? would they ever do a tickled up team spec for the factory drivers
that would be nice?I was comparing a GXII sleeve to that of the mg66, quite close in design at the sides but a lot different on the front, thats were the 66 has a lot of work done, i have the original P/Sleeve from the first motor sitting doing nothing, it may be in for some guru modding

good results for the GXII yesterday Shane, TQ in buggy and a couple of podiums yourself being one of them
I was looking good for the win in buggy before the throttle servo stopped working, fingers took it home for a look and said a wire had broken were its soldered to the board...I got a few txts from him last night
think he was buzzing to his finish his first final and to win it must of been a thrill.I wish Basil had brought his camera along yesterday to get some footage of the racing, the track was awesome with all thay rubber laid down.

Hey guys, wondering if anyone cane help me out . I was having trouble tuning my MG one day at the track just out of the blue high revving at idle. Well I took the carb apart and found the rubber o rings on the LSN and HSN were destroyed as if they dry rotted. Anyway the problem I'm having is finding the OR-0023 rubber o rings. I've sent emails to go USA with no response and all the distributors I call are out of stock. Friends at the track told me to just run the os speed carb on the MG because they are known for carb problems and the motor runs just as good with the speed carb.

I have plenty of O Rings in stock here. I can airmail you some over (take around 5 - 7 working days from down here in New Zealand). Payment by PayPal. If your keen just PM me for details.
I think I might have emailed you the other day - re using the fuel tubing in the meantime for O Rings. It works a treat and lasts forever. Give it a go to get back on track.
The new OR-0023 nitrile O rings will not shred like the original choclate coloured ones in your MG. Once fitted they will last for ages. These were upgraded on all GO engines with the introduction of the GX Series.

No further news on the GXII-7RHO. Still on the drawing board for early - mid next year as far as I know.
Yep, the GXII's are fast becoming the dominant force in off-road racing here.
Wicked performance and some excellent run times coming out of them now they have all been running for a while. G-Man is now getting 12.30 - 13 min in his Serpent Truggy, which is fantastic for an under NZ$300 motor. Pretty much unheard of in years gone by.
Seems a "genuine" 10 min in buggy is also attainable, so it's all good for the future of the GXII series

Hmm - a "Guru" modded GXII. This I will be keen to see. It could be the next fad
