Does anyone have a comparison for some NON-modded B5 and Argus engines? I dont think that comparison review does much for a lot of people, the ones that don't have modded of either or. I'm sure one day, someone like me will move towards the modded side of RC engines, but right now, I'm not there. I have only done a break in with my new B5, and am quite happy. Probably the easiest break-in of an engine that I have ever experienced. So, kudos to Werks for that. Hoping to get it on the track for the first time this saturday, (weather permitting), and am really excited. I have great expectations of the B5, and that last review didnt help much. But again, it was a MODDED B5. I think it will work great.

The B5 that you have is not a stock engine as we sell it and we obviously have no control over what effects aftermarket modification have on the engines performance, run time or anything else. This is also the reason that we (our Pro drivers) only compete with box stock engines and also why we require that our team drivers run 100% box stock engines as I mentioned to you over the phone I think it was 6 months ago.

Glad you like your B5 and Im sure you will be pleased They are great engines.

To compare the two stock They are both great performers. They are both very powerful engines from bottom to top. They tune different from each other and the Argus has a bit of a smoother bottom end delivery a little less abrupt than the B5. But both engines are at the top of there class for power and runtimes so you cant lose either way.

And Rc Geezers review I thought was very tactful .everyone is one here to talk about rc stuff ,so he shared his opinion. To some it may not be helpful but to some it will.

Thanks,
Lance

Thanks Lance. I guess I did kinda sound unfair in my post, after rereading it. I wasn't trying to sound like I was knocking the guys review. I was jus looking for a review on non-modded of both. A's a matter of fact, I first started looking into modding an engine after I ran into the RcRenew website accidentally. I might be talking to you real soon! Lol

UM, Lance is AWSOME..... GREAT WORK. Got a modded Argus and finally got it goin for break in. Little delay as far as glow plugs but man even rich im pretty impressed by the bottom end this thing has. Stil have a few more tankes left before track tune but i have a feeling im ganna be a happy camper. Anyone wanting any work done i wouldn't hesitate on debating if this is the man for the job. This guy defanitly knows what he's doing and defanitly does it CORRECT and in great time for his customers. Have a great day and looking forward to gettin this thing on the track soon!

Neal, wouldn't you say that's true for anyone running a nitro engine? I'd venture to guess that there are lots more of us "novice or amateur" tuners out there than there are you "professional" tuners who's business it is to know these engines inside and out. Again...just my opinion.[/QUOTE]

it is true for any and every nitro engine... hundreds of factors will affect how an engine runs and performs..

Well on the dyno and on the track are two different things. On the track We have seen both engines race side by side many times and on top end is pretty much a draw. In racing and on most tracks I think an engine never gets up to its peak RPM range like on a dyno.
