Hey mc, I vented both the tire & rims for wcrc.

Do you think if I don't vent the tires or rims it would handle any different then with holes?

venting the tires ensure that they dont hold any air which changes in pressure due to temperature from varying ambient and road friction. having only the foam to keep the tires firm ensures better consistency. i myself have not noticed any difference since im still fairly new to this hobby.

perhaps some one more experienced can chime in?

Absolutely it'll handle different. The air trapped inside will give the truck more of a bounce.

Under hard ballooning the tire can actually take on air. Check out the tire on the right, which ThunderbirdJunkie forgot to vent.

It just gets squirly in the straightaways with a medium/high bite indoor clay track.
Try a heavier weight oil in the front diff. 20-30k in the front would be my suggestion. I run 30k & basically the same as you on everything else, my truck runs great

Yes definitely. I noticed a difference on my sc10 4x4 when I tried vented & unvented tires, vented tires had more consistency.

Does T bird junkie actually type out his SN or does he run an auto correct that replaces 'I' with ThunderbirdJunkie?

If you're willing to show him a way to create a shortcut, ThunderbirdJunkie would be most grateful

I'm 99% sure all AKA tires are roar legal width. Proline 2.0 are wider.

well, if they aren't as wide as the 2.0, then it looks like im getting hole shot 2.0s over grid irons.

actually, as of now, there isnt a roar width at all. there's a red line over the 1.65 (is that right?) in the rule book.

I too had the same problem with the left rear outer camber link nut... a new nut took care of the problem.

I know on my 2wd the rebars are wider then the older style suburbs, feel alittle heavier to,I could notice when I was driving to,might have to gear down a tooth. Not quiet as snappy when I hammer the throttle
