Default Tires

Bumpy...the V2 Calibers are working really well...they keep my truck hooked up in the hard pack/dusty/loamy mixed condition tracks here in Wyoming. Just dont get the M4 or they will be finished in a race day.

My favorite loamy "go to" tire is the City Block. Once the track gets some runs on it if there is any hard to semi hard pack underneath the loam I will swith to Grid Irons.

(And Rebars work outdoors on hard pack/ light dust conditions wet or dry)

The stock chassis is fiber reinforced, but it's not carbon. It's similar to he b/t4.1 chassis.

I like the enduros for our big outdoor track. I would like to think that it would be considered rough, medium bite clay. It's been so dry around here lately that it's almost impossible to keep any moisture in the track, even if it's flooded the day before a race...

Right now I'm running the hardest compound, since the track is so abbrasive... I might grab some slightly softer ones for the RCPS Canadian Nationals here in September.... it will be cooler out by then (I hope!)

Default Diffs?

Is anyone wearing out front tires faster then the rears? It seems every time I punch it down the straits my fronts are ballooned and wearing out way too fast. I have considered going to a 3000wt diff fluid in the front but is this going to be the cure?

Speaking of Diff oils, I've been running 10k front and rear ( AE 5k was out of stock and thought 3k might be too light). Do you guys recommend going with 3k in the rear? what are the effects of running lighter wt in the rear?

My best advice to you would to see what the fast guys are running and talk to them or the track owner, my local track owner only sells tires that really hook on his track. It's hard for anyone to say without being there.

This sounds to ThunderbirdJunkie like the front end unloading and the center diff diffing out.

Unfortunately, we don't have center diffs.

It sounds like the slipper is slipping on the outer pad but not the inner pad, diff oil won't fix this.

That being said, ThunderbirdJunkie is running 20k in his front diff if he recalls correctly.

Are you running the overdrive pulley? I'm running 5000 in both diffs, no ballooning, 20t on both pulleys. What tires are you running and what compound? They maybe to soft for the power your putting down. I like all my cars to have a even all wheel drive feel to them, that works best for me. Check your slipper pads.

I'm running the 19th in the front which I'm sure has something to do with it but if possible want to stay with it, I like how the truck feels with it. I'm running M3 calibers. The slipper is locked down and after every raceday I rough up the pads with sand paper. They look pretty glazed before I sand them though.
