The stiffest way to run the front with stock springs is both upper and lower mounted on the outermost holes.

Out of curiosity, will a Tekin Redline 6.5 540 style motor work alright in this truck? If so what a good gear for it. Thanks.

Absolutely. I'm running a 5.5 540 (LRP X-12) in mine geared 13/93 so probably a 14 or 15 should be good

How hard can it be to manufacture a spring that compresses evenly? Why can't AE come with a solution to this? They must have seen this slipping problem during the test phase...

It sounds like its not put together correctly. Maybe buy a new spring, you shouldn't need to have it all the way tight. Mine is like 2 turns tighter than what the book shows and will wheely sometimes on indoor clay with the 3800 4pole. Maybe you have a old kit with thin washers.

Yeah, already there. Needs moar spring. Have yellows on order.

I wanted to try my 3800 from my SCTE , so in between quals I switched the motor only to find all of my 32p pinions 14 and up were too large to fit through the hole, and the shaft too short to install the pinion on once attched to the car.

HT on back of spur. 2 standard gold pads in basket. start with nut flush
