2 ways. One, he said the wire connectors are not air tight...thus they are not Water Vapor tight either. Air contains water vapor. Second, the motor, if it was completely air tight, is not made in a vacuum. Thus there is already air, with water vapor, inside when it's built/rebuilt.
Not making an argument for either style, just answering your question.
As for how it condenses inside the can...I'm willing to bet that it has more to do with the cooling of the motor after a run then while it is actually operating. If you're running in a high humidity environment there will be more water vapor in the air. As you run your motor the temperature of the motor increases until it is (hopefully) in the mid 150 range. When you're done running, the motor will cool off as now the ambiant air temp is only 70-90 degrees. The water vapor inside may condense on the inside of the can just like it does on the outside of a glass with a cold beverage in it. Since no electricity is moving through the motor the water won't bother it.
Like I told my son, water and electronic devices are fine together, its water and ELECTRICITY that don't play well. Remove either from the electronic device in question and you don't have an issue.

Never had a vented can get the water issues .
Every seal can I have purchased ?
Open can right after running and I will show you the water on the sensor board and end bell cover....

If he has water in his motor, then he has water in it. I'm not sure how its getting in there, and so I'm not sure if everyone else should expect the same. I'm stumped.

I'd be suspecting his pitmates,,,, And is it really condensation? or are they taking advantage of his motor while he is turn marshaling.

Back when CentralCoaster used to refer to himself in third person, CentralCoaster discovered fellow racers were dunking CentralCoaster's rc car in the tire sink while CentralCoaster was turnmarshalling.

thinking of getting a sc10 4x4
i was thinking of getting a sc10 4x4 soon. I was just wondering what problems people have had driving them and if i should wait till the bugs are worked out if any. I talked to some people that drove them and got mixed feedback. I did try one for about 10 min. and it was very easy to dirve compared to 4x4 slash i had. Even had better lap times not even trying so any info will help thanks.

You should drive the Losi and then decide.
Since I got the sc10 I havnt felt like driving the losi. Lol! Before that I loved the losi, I put over $400 in mods on it, spared no expense.
Everyone is different but I can tell you all the SC truck have their issues when put to the test.
People keep having belt getting pinched between the front pulley problems, then you roll the truck backwards to un bind it. Happen to me twice in 15 batteries after lawn darting into the face of a quad over shooting a triple. I'm running both 19t belt pulleys so my belt is looser I think.
