on throttle all is good... as soon as i steer it, the lot pretty much cuts out and i have not steering or throttle for a few seconds... you can hear the servo jittering and motor twitching.

All parts have had about 5 mins run time.

Has anyone found a cure?
Sounds like a BEC issue to me.

A Castle will sort you out. The Savox servo pulls a lot of power and the bec in the MMP is not upto the job. Get a bec, set it at 6v and away you go. I run one in all my trucks.

as you guys suggested.... BEC!

email i got from CC about it.

Thanks all!

Michael,
Savox servos are notorious for their amp draw (which is probably why they do not publish their specs), and that is the problem here. The servo is simply drawing all of the voltage out of the receiver (and Spektrum receivers are a little too sensitive to low-voltage, and have been known to drop out a little early), leaving none to power the receiver and servo. An external BEC will definitely solve the problem. Our CC BEC 10A will allow you to run any servo you want, with accessories like a personal transponder or lighting kit as well.

I use the same setup for racing, all I can say is I give it a warmup lap, then when i give it full throttle at the start it works fine, the motor, because of the type of motor, it starts at high rpm's, so it tends to be glitchy on the start, its not ment to be run at low speeds, its ment for racing.
