yep, im thinking to do that, just to be sure if in the future wont have the same problems. is that shaft very hard to do it? or normal dremel would be ok?

So I got my TC6 running, will be testing on the track to get ready for my first ever race. I'm sure I'll be breaking a few things, but currently have no spares for anything. I'm trying to keep the overall budget down a bit, so I need to be smart in what I stock up on. Does anyone have a list of recommended spares I should start picking up?

the only thing i have had issues with are the belts and pinion/spur gears due to pebbles, otherwise it has been a lot of fun to run. i however dont race on a track just in a smooth parking lot....

You will need c-hubs, rear hubs and steering blocks. All the rest is pretty much faultless. Been running mine for almost 6 months of racing and only broke a c-hub. One advise - start slow to be fast. Good luck.

Get some of the dog bone blades too. They dont break or wear out often but they are cheap and worth having a few on hand. Ive seen a few TC6's at the track rip an arm off and normally one of the arm mount blocks and the shock cap break. This is rare but again they are cheap parts and worth having around. I've helped out a few people with these parts who otherwise wouldnt have been able to finish the race day.

Good luck with the car.

I always carry:
front and rear wishbones
C hub front 4 degrees (std)
long inner hinge pins
87t spur gear
long/short belts (never broke one yet, same on TC5 but it is the day you do not have it that something will happen, sods law)
diff gear (same on diff and spool)
dog bone bearings (because they are quite fragile)
spur flanged bearings, just in case and screws that fits them (because I have lost two already)

this is quite extensive but I race at league level. I actually carry more but this is a good list to start with.

Put a tiny amount of threadlock on those two spur gear screws and check them regularly.
You will probably have to invest in some shock springs depending on your track.

Enjoy racing with your new "baby"

What's the difference by using long or short camber link?

I'd wondered if the link would fit there on the bellcrank. Might give it a try as I'd like to separate the ESC and motor to improve cooling.

Good stuff

Hi did you file your top deck?
What parts did you use to make the change?
and by doing this are you not by-passing the servo saver and losing the different positions for ackerman in the process?

The shorter the link the more camber change will have, but will not roll as easy as a longer link.
