I do , no issues so far, took it to the track maybe 2 - 3 times and ran all day ... i recommend it.

Welcome back. Check out the AE site for the new world's upgrades if you're interested in blowings some $$ into the car. There is also a 3mm longer chasis available now.

Otherwise, not much else. Just a lot of talk about set ups, reconversation about gearing, the diff housing assembly, etc.. blah blah blah.

so what do the towers / arm upgrades offer? Also is that a new suspension system? no pics just descriptions?

Unfortunatley that's going to have to be a question posed to someone else who's running with them. I'm a firm believer in not buying anything new unless what's old is broken, or just plain crap to begin with.

To date - I have purchased:

1. New wing mount
2. Upgraded Aluminum rear chasis brace
3. RC Screwz kit for the RC8 (which I've gone to a few times)
4. Mugen Gaskets for Center Diff
5. New shock oils (27.5 / 32.5)

That's it! I've been running it hard and haven't had any major issues, but rest assured when something breaks, if it has an upgrade I'll be buying it . I can let you know at that time how it works out

A couple of people have said car handles even better. However you have to modify the old arms because the new arms are not out yet only the chassis & the towers are out.
I will just wait till parts are easy to get.

The new team parts really relaxes the car and keeps it much more consistent to drive. The front and rear mod is very easy to do. The only thing i havent upgraded is the chassis, thats only because I am very happy with my SNR chassis.

I am very lucky to practice where most of the AE drivers practice and race. I have been able to really tune my car to my style of driving. AE isnt as pretty as the Mugan car but she keeps on running hard. I like my AE car a lot.

Has anyone expeirmented with sway bars ? I have silver front and rear currently. I was thinking of going to a stiff bar to help on the on medium speed turns especially when i drive hard into the turn. This should help right ?

It depends. They will help if u have all kinds of traction. If no traction then it will push or the rear may spin around on u on curves. The thicker the rod the stiffer it will be.
If great traction & too thick rods then u will fight traction roll. Just try a little at a time.

We have a huge amount of traction at West Coast Raceway. That was one of the reasons I thought about going to a stiffer sway bar to fight traction rolling in the medium speed corners.

So your saying I might possibly traction roll more with stiffer sway bars ? I was thinking it would prevent it due to decreasing the amount of body roll

A buddy and I are going this weekend to run our buggies. If i recall, the track is a decent size, definitely 8th scale. He's running a 1700kv motor, and I have an 1800kv motor. I'm looking for gearing recommendations. He's a better driver than myself so he'd be able to handle more speed. He also had mentioned to me that the turns were more of a sweeping type with maybe only one 180 deg. turn.

I'm doing some searching and reading, but figured I'd toss this in here in the meantime.

We'll also both be running 4s.

Yes, because there is less give from the suspension.

Anyone running the v3 teckno kit on there's? I just got one in the process of rebuilding and slapping in a mamba monster. I run at WCRC high traction clay track I will be running 5/5/5 diffs, 25wt/37.5wt shocks, stock springs, medium sway bars, 3* rear toe, running 4s on soft clay tires, Not sire if it makes a difference but a bulldog body

Its a bit identical to what others are running but I heard the teckno kit changes a lot in the set up. I haven't ran it yet I'm gonna have to test and tune at the track but just looking for a set up that's in the ball park.
