Ridiculous answer in my opinion. Translation: "Please spend money on our spring packs instead". I am running K springs and they seem to be performing REALLY well.... not only does the spring's natural progression make the car jump better, they don't rub on the shock body which can CERTAINLY cause handling issues, all over the track.
And the springs rubbing, doesn't have any effect. Ask Cavalieri or Maifield, they run AE springs.

I'm running Kyosho yellow front and back, and it feels JUST right, for my track. Take a look at the spring chart on the previous page for comparison . I get my k springs from amain.

1) Yes, when a superior product is available, I expect the manufacturer to be honest. It's the least they can do. Lying only makes the situation worse. The Internet will dispel most anomalies. Including this one.
2) So if I ask Cavalieri and Maifield and they say "AE springs don't rub", I should believe them and ignore the fact that my observations are incorrect, right? Wake up.
Someone please post the evidence for "So Cal Racer X".

AE springs do in fact rub and have since my RC10CE gold tub car in the early 90s. I wouldn't worry about it. Or buy a Losi and drill the pistons to 5-5-6.
Done that too!
Trust an old timer. You wont lose a race because a spring rubs on the shock body.

you are correct but i think most rc racers are very OCD about their cars and if something isnt right...it has to be fixed

Add them all up however, and you have one heck of a time trying to compete. Nobody is saying that IT ALONE will make the car undriveable... cmon
