I bought some K springs for my B4 and they seem a little loose on the cup. Are you guys using K cups or just the springs?

I have been using the Durango springs. They do not rub and work with the stock spring cups perfectly, but the feel is not there. I'm going to try the K springs next.

You REALLY think a manufacture is going to recommend a competitor companies springs?

And the springs rubbing, doesn't have any effect. Ask Cavalieri or Maifield, they run AE springs.

1) Where do you buy Kyosho springs online?
2) I'm running AE Browns/front and AE Greens/rear. What's the corresponding K spring to run?

Thanks in advance.
I'm running Kyosho yellow front and back, and it feels JUST right, for my track. Take a look at the spring chart on the previous page for comparison . I get my k springs from amain.

This is not 1964.

1) Yes, when a superior product is available, I expect the manufacturer to be honest. It's the least they can do. Lying only makes the situation worse. The Internet will dispel most anomalies. Including this one.

2) So if I ask Cavalieri and Maifield and they say "AE springs don't rub", I should believe them and ignore the fact that my observations are incorrect, right? Wake up.

Someone please post the evidence for "So Cal Racer X".

AE springs do in fact rub and have since my RC10CE gold tub car in the early 90s. I wouldn't worry about it. Or buy a Losi and drill the pistons to 5-5-6. Done that too!

Trust an old timer. You wont lose a race because a spring rubs on the shock body.

you are correct but i think most rc racers are very OCD about their cars and if something isnt right...it has to be fixed

Yeah, and you won't lose a race if your camber is just a tad off on one corner... or if there is a little extra air in one shock, of if the car isn't balanced left to right.. or if the motor hasn't been cleaned in a couple months, or if the diff is just a little gritty, or if your bearings are just slightly worn, or if one wheel is slightly bent, or if your wing is cracked, or if the car steers slight more to the right than the left, or if your servo saver isn't tight enough,... etc. etc....

Add them all up however, and you have one heck of a time trying to compete. Nobody is saying that IT ALONE will make the car undriveable... cmon
