yeah, i was just on tekin's forum and they all say 170 is fine, i never like it when motors get that hot, but i guess the t8's are ok with those temps.

I recently converted my rc8b to electric. I am looking at getting a new charger and I am needing to be able to charge both a reedy 5500 4s and a reedy 5000 2s on race day. Looking on suggestions for good chargers. I am looking to stay within around 260 with charger and power supply.

Thanks

I very much like this charger & power supply:

http://epbuddy.com/index.php?main_pa...&products_id=3

http://epbuddy.com/index.php?main_pa...products_id=13

You should also purchase an extension for the balancing wire:

4s: http://epbuddy.com/index.php?main_pa...roducts_id=125

2s: http://epbuddy.com/index.php?main_pa...roducts_id=123

This charger will charge all sizes of LIPO's. It has outstanding built in safety cut off's (not to say you should leave it unattended). They ship the fastest out of any hobby dealer I've dealt with to date.

That's my $0.02.

Oh, and the functionality is easy

Almost everyone at the tracks I go to run the Dynamite Passport Ultra charger. Charges up to 8amps and is a AC/DC charger.

Can normally be had for around 120-130 bucks too so its priced rather well.

I like this charger best. Have been using it since last yr, no problems easy to use, see and does everything needed even to store your batteries.

Beware other chargers say they will charge up to 6c but they wont do it at full amps.

And I dont have one of these but if I bought a power supply this is the one I would get.

Thanks
This one

and this power supply

I have been only using it for a couple months, but they are the same charger that most hobby shops are charging $149. for. Charge/balance 4 batteries at a time is priceless.

Default Bringing 2 threads together

Fellow RC8be Owners:

I have started a thread titled, "Tuning with camber links". It has really taken off for suspension tuning. I'd strongly suggest taking a read from page 1 on. A nice gentleman by the name of "Fred" is one of the most knowledgeable I've seen regarding suspension / camber set up. It's really blowing up quick and with tons of great information. Many are retuning their cars (including myself) as we speak.

This thread has been going very well. I'd like to see it continue along those lines, but I'd also like to get specific in set up's with the RC8be. This thread is generalized for every RC out there because the principles are virturally the same all the way around, but we as RC8 owners do have differences with the weight of our car, balance points, etc... and I'd love to have that conversation bleed into more specifics into our cars as it goes along.

Feel free to check it out and maybe drop some input into this RC8be thread of how we can specifically make things apply to our set up's. Things that work / don't work.

I have drilled a hole in the bottom of the ESC tray (not the chassis plate!) en attached one side of the Traxxas Mamba Monster mount. Together with a big piece of waterproof double sided tape it is really solid.

Hey guys I just got an rc8be with a teckno v3 chassis, MMM 2200. I run on a high bite clay track (WCRC) I'm thinking of running soft suburbs tires, 45wt oil F&R, medium springs all around, diffs using a 5/7/5.

I know some go 3k oil on the back but I'm thinking with the V3 chassis it will give me better steering to where I can keep the power equal and not have a lot of push in the tight corners.

Anyone that runs at WCRC input would be appreciated. Thank you.
