"3s lipos for Savage Flux"

Yes, and I also realize people are not unsubscribed from threads after 8mo. Either. This question is currently being asked (by others) in the Flux thread so I thought this info might be useful since people are still asking the question, 8mo. later! If you prefer I can start another NEW thread about the same topic and clutter rctech with more disturbing cats? Seriously that cat is creepy.

Just when I thought I was up on my memes. At least you gave me something to dream about on my flight.
I found another thread where Duster was talking about his lipos and it appears at one point he was using Neuenergy if I remember correctly. I did a search and only found soft packs. The search continues for a hardcase 3s lipo preferably 5000mah and 30c. I found one at hobby king but the specs on the website show it being 1mm wider than the battery box. It may fit if the measurements are correct, if it's any wider I don't think you could shoehorn it in. Ultimate goal is to run 5s and sometimes 6s. I guess the mah have to drop to 4000. No biggie I guess.

What are the Flux battery compartment dimensions? I have no trouble fitting a 8200 mAh LiPo in the Revo battery compartment. It is a softcase, and it's pretty snug, but it works great.
The GensAce 3s batts should work well, as well as the Turnigy Nanotechs. But I don't own a Flux, so I can't say for sure. I just know what has worked in the Revo, which has a similar size compartment, afaik.

Anything hardcase 3s I've found needs to be less than 4000mah or of lower c rating and thus not up to the task. I'm figuring off hpi recommendation of 150amp rating. 4000mah would have to be 40c. Soft packs solve the problem but I'm hesitant to run like that. I thought batteries would be easy. I'm looking into kits that bring the lipos in board, I would run soft packs then.
