"3s lipos for Savage Flux"

I'm going to getting a Savage Flux hp soon and was asking if 3 cell lipos are "too much too handle"?
I have an E-Revo and run 2s on that with no problems.
Thanks
Have rc's for a while now,,just signed up on this Forum!

I'll let my vid of my first and only time with 3s lipo on my Flux do the talking.

Nice video,,,,so does it go straight with the 3 cell liops or just want to flip over?

If 2s lipos are already good for that truck... then your 3s is something else!!!

Ive never seen any reason to run 6s in my E Maxx or did I in my Revo. Its just more than you could possably use. But thats just my opinion.

Tore up drive train! It would be just like my Hyper 10TT with the CC 3800 SC motor paired with the Mamba Max Pro on 3s. I cant get it past half throttle. Its more than I could ever use or really have enough space to get it opened all the way up. I just gear up a bit on 4s to get 40 mph which is pretty damn fast for a huge monster truck. My Revo was geared 22/65 and my Maxx is 21/65. Its fast enough for me

I ran 6s for a summer in my savage xl flux 2200kv conversion and it was awesome, it can be hard to keep the front end down. Now I'm running a Fastlane Machine tranny forward conversion on 5s 1350kv and it's much more drivable but still wheelies on demand. The flux is really good on 4s, 6s is mind blower!

Thanks Guys!!
I'll buy some 3s lipos and sell them if it's too much.

The maintenance seems to really increase running the Flux on 6S, I've had hardly nothing go wrong on 4S until I started running 6S as a steady diet. I have twisted dog bones, killed slipper pads, sheared a drive cup and chewed up pinions running 6S - never did that running 4S.

If you buy the same capacity and C rating 3S lipos (same brand preferably) as your 2S, you can run one 2S and one 3S lio as a 5S combo. Thats what I've settled on. Its faster than 4S and isn't quite as bad on parts as 6S seems to be.

To run lipos in series like on a Flux, they have to be the same capacity and should be same C rating. Ideally, they chould be the same age or useage too.

Thank You,,it sounds like 3's are just too much "nasty"!
But I probably will buy a couple of 3's and a pair of 2's,,,I'll let You know.

That's what I did, a pair of 2S and 3S 5000mah 25C lipos. Now I can easily run 4S, 5S or even 6S if I want to go crazy again.....
