All of our GT series ESC, the red/green blinking LED are located at the BOTTOM of the ESC circuit board. We have these ESC came out way beyond the no timing rule came out so we cannot relocate the whole design because of 1 rule (techically, it is not even a rule, it is a ROAR recommendation).
The GT series ESC should have a smoked color (1/2 clear) bottom case so the blinking red LED should be able to be seen from the bottom, or the side...
If you do have a solid black bottom case...your GT must be more then 2 years old.......I do have extra smoked color bottom case that I can send to you so you can replace the solid one...
One more thing...once you have updated to 508 no timing software, you must turn off the ESC, and recalibrate the radio in order to see the red blinking light....

I am getting ready to order my first speed passion esc and I was curious what program card i Need? I know the GT2.1 prostock works with either card but do I NEED to spend the extra $20 to get the better card? thanks

All the GT2.0/2.1 series speedos come with the std. LED card. If you can spend the extra... get the LCD card. This will help you interface with a laptop/PC and you will be able to D/L the latest software from Speed Passion. Then be able to flash your speedo.

sorry to ask so many questions... are the cirtix motors 3000kv or 4000kv ok for a 4x4 buggy 1/10 I was looking at the combo sets and it comes with the silver arrow v2 or the GT2.0 LPF.. are these worth looking at or should I stick with looking at the GT2.1 prostock ? thanks again..

FWIW, I am running the GT 2.0 Pro in a DESC 410R and love it so far. Handles the power of my 4.5 550 motor easily, even in heat above 90deg. Just started selling off all of my old escs and will be converting everything to Speed Passion. Super smooth, great power, and excellent feel for both throttle and brakes. 2 thumbs up!

Jonny5, great to hear you like the stuff. It is ok to use the stock software with mod motors if you turn the boost and timing way down. It is not "recommended" so that people dont fry their motors. I run the new 323 stock software with a 7.5 in mod buggy/truck/sct but have the settings real low. They work great.
The pro isnt required for a 4wd buggy but it isnt a bad idea to use one especially if running a lower turn motor closer to the limit of the speedo. with a 7.5 or 8.5 geared properly and cooled with a fan it should be fine. As always, check temps in new conditions.

I will have that corrected on the web.....Silver Arrow 2 ESC is better used on 3S and 4S lipo powered racing.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but for 4wd mod buggy I believe you want the GT 2.0 Pro, and then download the latest version of mod software. The timing profiles for stock are really aggressive and aren't suited to motors under 10.5.

just piccked up a speed passion gran turismo 2.0 LPF. hooked it up with a tekin 13.5t motor sensored. and I have NO brakes. radio settings have been rechecked and esc recalibrated over and over again and can't figure out what's up. It has very very faint brakes even with esc brake settings at 100%%%
anyone have any ideas.
help please hope i didnt waste my money on this esc
