It would seem the push button to turn on would be a bit sketch but I think Iv got a totally wrong idea of this, does 1 end go to the battery n the other go to the receiver? Or from battery to on off switch to receiver? I'm just lost 100% with this. Sorry idk why, makes me feel stupid honestly but I can't figure it out.
this is a switch, it replaces the mechanical switch. from the photos there are leads that go to the battery and then to the receiver, no charge jack which does kinda suck.

i had one of these probably 5 years ago or so when they first came out and thought it was the cats ass. well worth the $40 then, but my dumbass some how plugged the battery in backwards and nuked it.

How did that answer my question? I wanna know what this does my bro, I am very confused on how the whole idea works, so yes I no it's n on of switch and I no it works with lipo but from there on what does it do better then say the Losi regulator with switch?

All it is, is a switch that shows you the available juice left in the rx pack. And it prevents over discharging if you forget to unplug it so you dont kill your lipo. It is not a voltage regulator.

I will be getting one.

It's an electronic switch. You don't risk the chance of the mechanical switch getting switched off during a hard landing or just anything mechanical in general failing. That's the big upside to it for me.

This switch will not turn off while you are on the track, that's the concept. In order to turn this off you have to hold down the button for a couple seconds. Cody was leading the truck nationals (in I think it was 2007 at Nitro Pit?) and his mechanical switch broke ending his bid. That's what got me hard wiring. With this switch I can have a switch again. The circuitry is designed to make sure the power stays ON if there is a problem, that's the beauty of it. I personally won't run in lipo mode, I would rather ruin the battery than have it turn off.

These switches are excellent. I used the old and will be awaiting the arrival of these. For all the reasons PK mentioned, it's a great way to ensure it won't get contaminated or damaged. It's the best option for situations where switches are required. I'm not as hardcore and like the convenience of a switch, and much prefer the reliability of this switch over a conventional switch.
