●The CPU powered electronic push switch (ON / OFF) can prevent a GP car’s power disconnection caused by momentary overload or loose connectors due to vibration.
●Battery indicator equip / 5 LED displays the battery voltage level.
●Lipo mode function / Lipo battery voltage falls below 6V, output is cut to prevent over discharge of the battery.

The picture below is the power ON state.

I can't wait to get this!!! I had the old switch but it got retired with Cody's car, and I don't dare take it off. The old switch was the best thing ever in radios since 2.4, and I'm sure this one will be equally impressive. :D I'm so tired of direct wiring for mains and can't wait to get some of these.

Very cool, wonder if they have a release date for it?

Gotta have it!!!:nod::eek::nod::eek:

I've used the original Ko switch similar to this style without the battery meter, after two gallons the damn thing kept shutting itself off without being pushed. Batteries were good, no cut wires, just kept shutting off, worked great till then, finally switched to hard wire.

an absolute No-Go for a switch in a nitro car. If u have a weak lipo the switch cut-off and if u have the wrong servos u donbt have any failsafe.

that cut off costs me already a 350$ engine with an old LRP Lipo Limiter.

i prefer to get a new lipo instead of a new car/engine couse no fail safe works with cut off

Looks like you can turn the Lipo mode off. So should be good for Nitro.
I would say a cheap on off switch would be more of a risk.
Where and when will this be out?

Yes it can be turned off!! So, barracuda, i am sorry but you are wrong. If you could not turn it off, how would it be possible to use with LiFe or NiMhi batteries... as it would turn evryting under 6V off.

The switch in Cody's Worlds car was two + years old, and I had enough confidence in it to run the Worlds final with it. I would do it again without even thinking about it. It just dawned on me, that was the oldest thing BY FAR in Cody's car. IMO this is the only switch you could even consider running a big final with. Mechanical switches are just out of the question completely. I think ours had a cut off even though there were no lights and stuff on it. I have run several lipos dead with the old switch and they charged back up again.

I plan on getting one of these once they're released. My only wish is that it had a jack built into the switch to plug a charge lead in directly, so I wouldn't have to open the RX box.

Good point. The old one had it, maybe this one will too.

Jammin57 05-27-2011 11:27 AM

The old switches are good but if you are running a lipo you need to unplug the battery from the switch because if you don't the switch will pull the lipo down and puff it. The switch is always pulling power even when it is off

I want one ;)

I don't want to sound stupid here but I don't understand it AT ALL! so my question is, if I run a Losi lipo 2000 pack in my 8 2.0 with a lipo regulator and airtronics really good servos not cheap ones lol what will this help with? It would seem the push button to turn on would be a bit sketch but I think Iv got a totally wrong idea of this, does 1 end go to the battery n the other go to the receiver? Or from battery to on off switch to receiver? I'm just lost 100% with this. Sorry idk why, makes me feel stupid honestly but I can't figure it out.
