Has anyone used one of these with a LiFe pack?

If so does it work? Does the voltage detection work?

The KO Propo Switch 2 has failed me on multiple occassions. I use LIPO in my RCVR and have turned OFF the LIPO setting b/c I don't want the cutout to engage.

Despite turning it OFF, it seems the LIPO cutout is still engaging because after ~15 mins of running, the servos stop working. I am using a new battery, but it is a REVTECH. I'd argue this was the cause if it weren't for my "older" protech LIPO causing the same issues (freezing servos when using the switch after ~15 mins of running)

For what it's worth, I turned OFF the LIPO cutout by removing the rubber cap and pushing the button underneath until the LIPO light turned OFF.

Suggestions?

After reading 305M3's post above, I'm somewhat hesitant to purchase as I use LiPo myself. Are folks using these with LiPo and leaving the battery plugged into the switch?

This switch is interesting to me b/c of the LiPo cutoff feature. I have used the straight mini-deans connectors years ago but they're such a PITA to unplug and yes I have forgotten to unplug resulting in major damage. Hard lesson to learn.

Past 3 race season I've used the JR small switch and replace after each season. Knock on wood no problems...but I have 'puffed' a few receiver LiPos which make me wonder maybe I was running the voltage down too low.

The lack of a charge jack on this unit makes me wonder but there are Y-harnesses available. Sure more wire in the box is a downside. Has anyone tried the airplane charge receptacle? It looks like the Ernst one will fit where the manual switch is located on my Serpent.

Thanks in advance for the feedback, just trying to see what the consensus is with this switch on LiPo. Also, does anyone have pics of this switch installed in a Serpent?

I updated my issue in the different Kyosho forums, but didn't close the loop here.

So, I changed my receivers and servos and used the same battery w/ the KO Switch 2. Still had the brownout issues.

My new batteries from maxamps came in and I believe this is what fixed all my issues. I think it was the high end servos requiring too much power and my receiver battery was not able to meet the "max burst" demand.

Thank goodness the folks from maxamps are so awesome. They made a receiver battery to meet my needs in terms of size and capacity. maxamps runs a real tight program over there.

In short, the battery ended up being the issue. When the switch is in the correct mode, it will work perfectly. I wouldn't have any reservations concerning the switch.
