SC10 4x4 Thread
#2147
Ran my new 4x4 last night on a dry, very loamy track, and after one 10 minute run, the tires had enough dirt that seeped in thru the overly large wheel vent holes that they were way out of balance.
I probably should have just taped over the holes, and put vent holes in the tires, but man, those wheel vent holes seem unnecessarily large, don't they? I wish AE had left the venting of tires/wheels up to the preference of the user.
Hopefully I can get that dirt out by venting the tires...........otherwise, I'll have to boil them off. Ugh.

I hit the throttle and where most of the guys hit the brakes, I just let the trucks roll off-power. and when I drive with a loose clicker I can take the inside if the corner, where most drivers take the outside.
we have some off-camber corners ( inside of the corner is a few feet higer then the outside ) ideal situation for a loose clicker.
It is not a big gap. but I can be faster with a loose clicker

For racing in the dirt you should make two holes in the tread of each of your tires so that any dirt or water that has entered the tire and rim can spin out by the holes you made in the tread.
Also those small holes on the side of the rim are for glueing the tire to the rim for added strenght on the side wall so that you don't loose a tire bead as easily as the other rims do.
Here's a pic of Mayfiels SC10 4x4 with the holes in the tire tread:
