SC10 4x4 Thread

It is all about the fine tuning. It just takes time at the track. Run a few laps, make a small change. If the results are better, keep the change and go little further with the same change till the results start getting worse. Then you can find a happy middle that fits your driving style.

Pre-Worlds in Finland!
Damn Chris... you've really come a long way since we first met out at Pegasus Hobbies... Kudos on the dedication and best of luck out there too!

The first thing that I would try is to add some more pre-load to the front to give it more lift. If that does not help if could be the problem listed before with the rear of the chassis hitting the jump and causing the truck to rotate forward. To help with this add some pre-load to the rear. Going with a thicker oil like stated before will also help with the rear. But to get more lift in the front you would have to go with lighter oil in the front. The springs are easy to adjust at the track so I would start there.

For the problem of rear who is totally not stable, maybe i can release slipper a lttle bit and maybe put the 19 pulley in the front....what do you think about that?

My SC is box setup, 1410 motor, servo and radio from hobby partz, lipo 2S 5000 mah 35C, gearing 13/62. Caliber M4 at all corners. Diff with 5000 front and rear.
The track is like Texas....BIG... Indoor, clay, very dusty and not too much buppy.
I don t have problem of heat but my gearing is too short and top speed not enough. I ll going to try 15/62.
In flight it was not good, nose done so i moved battery at the rear and now it s good.
Steering is crazy but i can manage that.
But i have a real problem and no way to drive, i m faster with my T4.
Rear wheels push to much, really too much so cannot put gaz after turn because U turn. Very hard to accelerate hard because the rear is totally instable, cannot go straight. Ok i m not a great pilot but a descent driver.
I think i must to change oil in my diff but wich one and wich weight.
I m sure it s a great truck but with good seeting. Actually it s horrible

I think people that have a nose heavy trucks are running the clicker to tight. And too much drag break.Just a guess.

Have you tried different tires. I feel that Calibers are a better steering tire than a forward traction tire. This would make the steering feel too aggressive and the rear end would fishtail on acceleration. Also the taller lugs will make it feel washy and not knife edge. Try a shorter pin tire like AKA city blocks. They are a similar style tire, but have a little shorter lug and have both side and forward bite.
Francios, if you live in the area, come check out M&M Hobbies, if you have time today. Ill be their 11-4pm. I run the purple/orange/white bodied AE, and the names is Jason.

It could be many factors. I am running the clicker locked for full 4wd but with not much drag brake. Just enough to scrub a little speed entering the corner without hitting the brakes.

Tires could deffinatly be the problem. At the track I run, my Gladiators have sick forward bite when the track is wet, and excellent steering. But if it is dry , theses tires are near worthless, marginaly better than the stockers.

Solution was easy , just adjust the brake , car no longer dive bombs the landings...

In my experience when ever I find a driver who is complaining of nose down issues its usually that driver has his brakes turn up very high and even the lightest tap on the brake would send the nose down like a bomb.
