Has anybody found a solution to the CVA's coming apart? What a giant p.i.t.a it is for a pin to come flying out.
I used tire glue to keep the retaining ring from spinning around AND used heat shrink on top AND STILL the pin would fly out. I cranked the nut down on the pin too. What gives?
I'm going to buy a rebuild kit to see if that solves anything.

Even with the little body roll I have this truck is so easy to drive and make it out and bump into higher mains after a crappy couple quals. What are some gearing for a really tight tech track I have a 84 spur, I am currently running 22t pinion I feel like I want to try a 19-21?

Which CVAs do you have, the ones that have a C clip? Those things are pretty tight, I haven't had a problem with them in my B4.1. I think the old ones use a set screw.
What I've seen people do is put heat shrink around it or use the CV boots by Racer's Edge.

When you use the glue ?
Only put a small drop between the gap of the clip , this way you have a peg made of glue and the clip will not be allowed to rotate and lose the pin .

Yeah, I think everyone's moved from a set screw to some type of clip surround. The MIPs I installed on my SC10 RTR has em, as well as the FT B4.1 I just built. They appear to be very tight. I even bought those CVD boots because I've heard of horror stories regarding CVD/CVAs pins flying out, but I've never used them since the new design appears to be solid.

My original servo went south today. Looking for suggestions on what servo to get for my stock brushless sc10. May upgrade my motor to a Castle 3800 SCT down the road and want a good servo to grow with. Will a good servo improve handling? Thanks for the help.

I went with a Futaba S3305, but when I upgraded my radio system I needed a digital servo and went with a Savox 1258TG

Depends on what you're running. If you're running a SC Spec class that doesn't allow timing, go with an SPX Zero, otherwise go SXX V2.
