WISH I HAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
here's my problem, using 1257''s throttle/steering. they are noisy as hell!!! Today after I fired up my car on the starter box the throttle servo went wide open to off to on then stuck full on. Luckily I was one the box and was able to shut car down. Even with fail safe programed[dx3s] the servo still wanted to glitch bad/ stay wide open.
I am so sick of spending money on whats suppose to be quality and receiving crap. Now I get to take the car apart and try to get these replaced. You know spend more money sending crap back.
Yes I can say all the above, checked lipo batt/changed regulator/tx batts charged/all wiring/ still same, only throttle servo. You would think the servo could make it through 6 tanks of fuel before it crapped on it's self. So now I will see what type of excuses they can come up with not to warranty so called great product. I will say when they did work they were great. As far as Hi-tec goes that's what I use to use. As far as I'm concerned they are as bad as these. Except for the old 645mg's had a set that lasted 4 years.

It's funny how some people are having no issues while others like me can't get an hour out of them.

Default Savox SC 1258TG

Hi all i`m new to rc cars and want to start racing i bought a new Serpent 720 1/10 Touring nitro sedan and i`m looking for two servos for my car.

I`m getting a good deal on two NIB Savox SC-1258TG and want to know if these are good for my Serpent 720 for steering and throttle?.

I have read that these are intended for offroad use but i want to know if i can use them in my Nitro 1/10 Touring car?.

Thanks for the help.

I have to say....
YES, they look cool
YES, mine operates great. Fast, strong and smooth.
YES x 2 Noisy as Ive ever heard. Drives me nuts! Its whining when ever the trucks on. Im still learning a little so...Does that strain my RX, ESC or battery? The servo's case doesnt get warm or anything. But I havent had a servo thats quite that noisy. My JR 9000t is a little till I touch the steering wheel and its centered then it quits. But the Savox is darn near constant.

I installed a 1258tg for steering and a 1257tg for throttle in my 8B 2.0 and they have been working flawlessly. Last Sunday during club race my trusty Hitec 5955tg that handles steering in my 8T 2.0 started acting up so I replaced it with a 1256tg and it worked well, but I ordered a Hitec 7950th to put back in the truggy. I guess I've been lucky with the Savox's, had no issues at all (knock on wood) except for they are noisy and power hungry.

ok got a chance to do some testing on the servos.. running 1268 in my e-buggy with tekin rx8 and 1900kv motor.. had some minor glitching.. added a castle bec.. it is the 10 max output adjustable from 4.8-9.0 volts.. it is as default setting 5.1 volts.. tested for a full 4500 4s battery .. no glitches what so ever.. i will get the voltage to 6.6 or 7.4 volts in a week or so but as of now this took all the issues away.. castle # is 095-0022-00 i think they are 10-15 bucks.. .. hope this helps a few of you out.. jeremy

might depend on the system your running, not sure about the other esc's but if you are running a Castle Creations/MM Pro you will almost definitely need a receiver voltage protector that's what I needed to do on my SC10. I bumped the bec to 6 volts and I love the torque and speed of it.

Let me just say, OMFG. #1, I put it in a sc10 ft truck and the futaba horn barely fit.(Don't tell me its the wrong horn because I called them to make sure it was the right one.)#2, Is the fact that it is the noisiest thing I have ever heard. I don't care how good or fast it is this thing sucks. I am a little frustrated if you couldn't tell.

Edit: So far I have not found any glitching to my abilities. Like I said I will be going to the track later today to test it.
