Did a speedcheck today with my android-app Speedview (you can find the free version of it on Androidmarket). With my setup Tamiya Transpeed 8.5t 4000kv, hobbywing Xerun 60A, 4000mah 2s 7.4v lipo (GE-power) and a 19t pinion I reached 63km/h over a distance of 40 meters!!
Fast enough for me

I got mine today and I can't wait to build it. I have wanted one of these since first version came out so long ago.

I finished the build today and took it for a drive. Everything seemed fine, however one thing in particular got me concerned a little. The drive train seems loud. I'm using a Fantom 17.5 with a Tekin RS Pro. Is this normal?

Did you check the gearmesh between pinion and sput? If it is to close it will make more noise.

Hi, how many "T" has to be the brushless motor for Avante? The idea is to use a Tekin combo, but there are many models ....

Thanks. Best Regards.

Does the reissue still come with the Tamiya "Technigold" motor? That was a great motor back in the day.

I have a Transpeed/LRP sensored 8.5T in mine with 2s 4000mah lipo. Geared down to 19t pinion and reached 63km/h (39miles/h) topspeed. Runtimes 15 minutes BUT I melted the countergear of the 3rd diff. I replaced it with an one piece spur/countergear from the Egress and set my hobbywing 60a esc to startpower 1 (less agressive acceleration).

No, it is a TZ stock motor with special label.

There are plenty of spares on Ebay and other online stores. Also GPM will release in August upgrade parts for the 2011 Avante.

I don't need any now. I was just thinking for the future. I didn't want to run something I couldn't fix if I broke it.
