I had use this in my r5 with 3.5T motor and 1S lipo for sometime already. Have tried the LRP's competition v1 and v2 before. I think the HW 1S have a lot more punch than the LRP. Well, you can turn up the punch on the LRP but you will loose some throttle "smoothness". The HW just feel extremly smooth when you apply partial throttle but when you punch it it will give you lot of punch at the same time. And the brake is very progressive too. You can apply partal brake to slow the 1/12 down on those end of straight large corner!!!! I can't believe how good this thing is. Oh, btw: I can't remember what software it come with. But I tried to install different software and the lipo cut function keep kicking in..... Anyone know what software will work with 1S other than the stock one?

119 has issues with the cutoff, most racers turn it off, hopefully will be dealt with in the new software just being released.

Also carefull loading the 508 No Timing software onto the ESC. The low voltage cutoff will prevent you from using it. So when programming the ESC, use a 2S battery, and then turn the battery cut off to off.

Other then that is a good speedo, but the FW needs some minor adjustments.

hey cherry2blost - thanks for the setup sheet - but for what motor is this setting applicable? I'm guessing for 13.5 or 17.5 since there is boost?

thanks!

Default BRCA Nationals Setup so far

Hi Just an update, our Driver in the UK has had his first outing with the New 1s ESC at a BRCA National and an 8th in the 'A' Final is a very respectable begining.

Brian Eldridge can now be unveiled as the 'Face' of Hobbywing in the UK and we wish him all the best and a successful series this year.

He is running the Hobbywing 1s in the new TOP 12th and it is super quick.

Well done Brian.

Setup will follow as soon as we have his race report.

We have some settings for 10.5 from a driver who is testing these and can help with those, Software is readily available and regularly updated.
ESC has proven very very quick in racing with a very good driver at the wheel

Hope it helps to answer some questions for you.
