hey everyone
i bought a 35 plus 21 pre run in engine. nib. off an ebay store.
the engine blew up after 3L of fuel, because of a faulty front bearing.
i emailed novarossi to discuss this issue of manufacture, and to discuss waranty.
they have subsequently put up on their website that no waranty will be given, if the engine was purchased from anyone on their distributor network.
so people beware.

Warranty is a strange issue and it is a suffer when you have to fight for it.
Within the Netherlands (and I think whole Europe) warranty is indded an issue beween the cusomer and the seller and for most products they have made a list what a reasonable lifespan is and how long a product must be supported and that can be longer than a factory is advising.
With our engines it is still a mystery, most sellers do not give any warranty at all while others do not make a problem of it and fix it by their self or contact the distributor who are mostly supporting.
I know Novarossi is making a problem of it when people buy stuff in cheap countries and so they do trace serial numbers. These buyers do not get local support and the factory do not want to take care of it because then they will be very busy and spending a lot of money....

If warranty is to be chased by serial number, it would be better that Nova Rossi can publish a list what number is under which distributor so that the user will know what they really bought even customer buy the engine from throse so called appointed distributor.

The ceramic bearings are lighter. Yes they have less balls in them. Yes the price is a huge difference oppose to steel. One reason people change to steel from ceramic is the care factor. Ceramic bearings do not like sitting in nitro so you have to keep the engine clean inside so they need more care.
