Ok guys! Need some help here.

I'm using a 35PLUS21 LC/WC09 limited edition engine. I just blew 2 plugs today. Any idea what the hell is going on?

Its probably gone through about 2-3 gallons including running in.

Any engine gurus here can give me some advise? Is it the conrod issue? Should i be replacing the bearings too?

Set too rich or too lean..

Blowing plugs indicates too lean I'd say.

If the plug coil is destroyed / warped, then try adding a 0.1mm shim.
Same happened to me last season. Adding a shim fully rectified the problem.

New updates for the FLASH 12...

New Heat Sink

Balanced Crankshaft

New Liner

New Exhaust Outlet

All in all looks good... The new liner looks like it now has the two boost ports as the 353 with an additional 3rd boost port...

The balanced crankshaft comes as no surprise to me... Already Gimar had unveiled their 11.9mm balanced crankshafts and there were several other companies that had a balanced 11.5mm crankshafts... It was only logical Novarossi would step forward with them.

I really would like to see or hear what's the engineering on the new exhaust outlet, other than having to buy their gasket...

Those 3 small ports aren't boost ports, they are just ports for lubrication and cooling of the piston.

The new exhaust gasket is probbebly marketing but does not take log for others to make them as well or there is a trademark on it.

Did you check the play on the bearings and rod?

If you have been running it for 3-4 gallons with no problems, sounds like it is time for a rod to me.

Or, if you are running Nova plugs, you may have some of the old batch that were terrible. I would say go ahead and change the rod, it's time anyway and get some of the new 8's. Should take care of it.

I thought they were called boost ports...

I just don't like it because now I have to stock two types of gaskets in my bag...

1. maybe you set HSN to lean.
2. maybe its time to check the rear bearing smoothness. Ceramic bearing is very smooth when new but it doesn't last long time. If it gritty, it's time to change.
3. check the conrod's bottom hole ( the one that connected to crankshaft ).

I guess your problem is number 2 or 3.

Now there is ''too much'' to choose from Novarossi for the 1/10 scale.

-FLASH12 PTS
-FLASH12 PT
-FLASH .12 3-tuned
-353 Race .12/C Tuned

The differences are minimal to nothing

I'm a little bit confused what to choose for the upcoming season. Normally I would go for the PTS but I heard some rumors that it will be quite expensive in comparison with the FLASH .12 3-tuned!?

Cheers

As I understand the only diferent between Flash 12 PT and 12 PTS is front bearing. I think there is no need to pay on $60 more for 12 PTS. What will you say?

Over the thumb that would mean in Europe for a PT .12 450 euro and a PTS .12 500 euro

Now I'm really curious!
