The webbing looks the same as the CRC rim...maybe the plastic is different as the CRC has very little flex...but look at the Jaco rims...they have quite a bit of flex so maybe that's a good thing.

I am organizing a club for this summer, looks like we will be running on a specialized Soap Box Derby track. It's basically a two lane road that's in pristine condition. I plan on pushing RCGT but was curious if 1/12 would run well on regular asphalt??
Wow!! One race every two years!!! And hey, it only takes MASAMI to be the tire bitch/pit strategist to make it happen, You're right, totally superior performance....
Give me week in/week out performance every time. If they hadn't started the worlds with weak tire additive things might have been different.
I'll take a proven performer everytime, and that's CRC high rollers. IIC, Snowbirds, and Cleveland, ya know, the REAL Carpet races......

They always have an edge with those tires, mostly on asphalt though, carpet is another story.Anyway we were talking about the rims, not the tires... I would say Yokomo tires on any other rim would also be great... It's the rubber that makes the biggest difference....
AGAIN NOT SAYING CRC or any other brand is not good!!!! I have used different brands under different conditions and they all have an advantage somewhere...

any information would help, thinking about trying the new TOP pan car and would like to compare

Yes if the asphalt is smooth enough it can be done very easily. Its best if you can lay down some type of sugar water or soda to help with the grip.
