8T 2.0
ok here's a question. i still can't quite figure out the rear diff oil. pretty much got the hang on front and center diff, but the rear is still questionable. how does it affect the handling of the car? i tried google it and most just emphasis on 1000-5000wt. so how do i know when to move from say 2000 to 3000 wt oil?
apparently in my truggy entering the turn, the rear seems to want to overpower the front (if that makes sense, a little hard to explain) or in other words, it seems to fishtail a little too soon. im running losi 8t 2.0 with 2000wt in the rear, smart diff in front and center. the rest pretty much stock. seems to behave like this once i put the smart diffs in. i don't wanna really toss em out just yet cause it gives me plenty of steering mid and exit corner. plus i spend more than 100 bucks for them.

Yes it hard to get it perfect but the most important factor is to insure your SD are full to the rim with SD grease check often.

Ive ran the SD in the center of my truggy for quite some time now, Im starting to go back and forth to a Regular diff with 10K but in most circumstances i prefer the SD....so Again i must be crazy.
I've only ever run a smart diff in the center of the truggy and it came out very very quickly. I absolutely hated it! It made the truck feel extremely weird to me. It took away all smoothness on the throttle. Almost like it wasn't locking and unlocking fast enough. I am a pretty smooth driver. I like to roll on and off of the throttle. With the SD it seemed one step behind me. It wouldn't lock quick enough when I rolled on and wouldn't unlock quick enough when I rolled off. For someone who drives very aggressively/ with a lot of on/off of the throttle it may be the best thing since sliced bread, but for me it was the worst my truck has ever felt.
Didn't take long for the standard 10K diff to go back in. 7/10/3 and that's about it. Pretty much what I run exclusively in the truggy.

hmmm people seems to have better results with the standard diff. im not giving up just yet. gonna try going to 3000-4000 wt in rear, then maybe different spring configuration in the center. anybody's got any recommendation with the smart diff setup, dont be shy

Try only running only two .15 springs but Cut two coils off each. Up the rear to 3K. Im pretty sure you will have better results ran this setup for a while.
