I agree the fuel coolers seem a waste of time and of course the pros run them as they are expected to because then others will spend the money and run them.
They most likely get more run time because it increases fuel capacity but no more than getting youre capacity near the 125 cc mark...my 2 cents worth

Yep. Been racing at Barona a bunch, little ARC, and some indoor WCRC. Racing as much as I can, weather permiting. I will try and do the Grassroots series again this year. See you soon.

when they get old they warp...and thats why you smoked that ring gear...cause they allow more play when they get warped or old....the alluminum ones WILL NOT let that happen

One last "thing" ever notice that the Helicopter guys DON'T use hitec servos..servo failure in a Helicopter always results in a crash..
You can glide a plane in..

I beg to differ,..... A LOT of heli and plane guys trust Hitec to their 500.00-10,000.00$ rigs....Hitec is one of the Best Flight radio's you can buy and IMO if the plane/heli guys can trust it 1000' away....Ill trust 150' away.

they keep your Ring and pinion as true as possible as the plastic wear out over time they will cause the R+P to loose its mesh and reek havoc....You want the Inserts, Trust me.

Strange..I didn't take his post as a flame or anything like that, the guy asked for Opinions and just because someone has a different one than yours is not a flame on his part..I don't really care what you do to Your truggy, it's not mine..I have never been told exactly what an exhaust cooler does..maybe you could explain (NOT trying to be a wise guy..just wondering) to me it looks like it's not doing anything..it's just a pressure line..I have run a pressure regulator (plane guys use them) before and never noticed any performance improvements, but I don't run my tank out to see how many minutes I can go, I can run 11 minutes on my Nova .21..we run 30 min mains..2 pit stops..10 seconds or so isn't going to help..

Exhaust gas cooler's theoretically cool the Air coming and going from the tank. Therefor should technically keep the fuel a little cooler and in turn give you a little more run time.

At least that's how i see them "working"
