I know everyone will want pretty aluminum... but AE should make bearing cap/shocktower mounts with vertical ballstuds out of their tried and true molded CFRP.
THEN offer an aluminum option if it takes off.

Cheers guys, the pivoting was a concern but doesn't seem to be an issue when bench racing. We'll see how it stands up on the track.
I'll see if I have any more CF scraps to mount using the two screws. I could just CA an extra bit on I guess.
Looking forward to the outdoor season.

speaking of shorter turnubuckles, has anybody been able to use the inner (I believe it is 2b) setting on the knuckle with the 7b ackerman? i can't get less than 1-2 degrees of toe-in with the kit supplied turnbuckles so I went to the outer hole.

It is slightly annoying to have the longest camber link settings as the stock setup too.. although the car works really well, perhaps it doesn't need as much gain as other cars I have driven.

i use the standard tc5 spur gears. there is 2 options to mounting the motor(thats what the lower screw slot is for on the mount) i have had no issues with this and ive been running this car 3-4 times a week. for 17.5 carpet i have a 78/25 gearing
