What a great kit. It was easy to build(never unsealed the manual) and tune. I built this kit for a friend and made a few changes to achieve the fastest laps all week and in our Fall Classic weekend race.

I am impressed with the fit and finish. The shocks went together nicely and were slippy smooth. It took turns extremely fast and it transitioned back to center just as fast.

Must have kit!

Guy's,

Maybe I've missed it. But I have a small question. Does a Xerun 120A fit a Xray XII chassis? Or is the speedo just to big?

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards

Robert

Hello all

I have start playing my link car recently and the rear shaft was bended and broken. This happened earlier when I was played my link car at the 3rd ride.

Would like to know if you have experienced this before? Btw, I noticed that Xray have a rear shaft made of Alunimium (37 5011). Have you use it before? Would it be long lasting when compare to the graphite shaft (37 5010)? Thanks !

I have broken 3 axles so far in my X10. the XII & X10 use the same axle. I have not tried the aluminum one and don't plan on it. I'm switching to CRC axles until Xray fixes the problem.

Thanks Foxy ^^

Not sure if it dues with the bearings on the shaft if they are not running smooth during high speed and makes the shaft broken. >_<

if you choose to run another axle (irs/crc) i would suggest that you purchase the entire other axle. the difference will be the hub on the spur side is different than a standard axle. they are not setup for the thrust bearing. the other thing to remember about standard axles is that they are standard and use a 11/32 nut. but axle wise is all the same

The CRC 1/12th axle will work with the Xray hubs, at least it does on the X10. With a little mods (added shim). Haven't done it myself only heard about it at the local track.

With that being said, Xray will begin testing a new axle soon in hopes the breaking problem is fixed.

Just finished up a run of rear bulkheads for this car. They feature a lowered motor position, 1mm raised rear shock position, and will use the standard Associated, IRS, or CRC ride height adjustment pills. We tested these on our local carpet track which is probably medium grip at the moment with 13.5 and this configuration seemed to make the car better. We have also been testing a conversion to dampening tubes to replace the center shock. This does seem to change the feel and handling of he car from the center shock.
This is not in production at this time. If anyone is interested in this, pm or email me and I will gage the interest in this to see if it is viable to produce and what the price would have to be.
