Spektrum receivers?
#1
So I'm getting back into racing and I've decided to jump into the 21st century and get a 2.4 radio. I've decided to go with the Airtronics M11 on Spektrum. I chose the M11 because I used Airtronics when I first started racing in the late 80's with great succss. I chose Spektrum because the rx's seem to be plentiful and well priced.
Here's my question. About Spektrum receivers: which ones will work with the M11 module? Will the Losi receivers work? What is the best receiver for the money?
Thanks!

Any spektrum surface rx that is dsm should work, dsm2 will not work.
These should work with the m11 spektrum module.
sr300
sr3000
sr3001
sr3500
The losi dsm rx's will work also, I believe they are the same as the sr300 rx.

And if you run the airtronics spektrum that comes with the M11 fhss 2 or dss you have to run their receivers .

Am I understanding correctly: if you use the Airtronics module you have to use Airtronics recievers, and if you use the Spektrum module you have to use Spektrum recievers?

DSM2 has a faster response time. The SR3001 and SR3500 also have faster response times than the other DSM RX's, but are not as fast as the DSM2. But to take advantage of them, you have to have a pro module. You will be able to use just about any Spektrum brand RX except for the SR3520 and the SR3100.

Yes Spektrum the company makes a module and receiver for the M11 . Airtronics has their own which comes with their radio system you have to run their recievers with them . Did you buy a new system ? If so which one so we can tell you what you need .

Hey all, I ran into some trouble recently with a lock-out as a result of range problems with my AR6100 and totalled my plane. No big deal, gots to keep the spirits up and repair by next weekend for flying! But I did do a lot of research that established by consensus that the AR6100 is a medium-ranged receiver. Spektrum/Horizon Hobbies does not state a range for their receivers but instead use vocabulary such as "Park" or "Reliable" or "Full Range" to describe their line of 2.4ghz receivers.

They do make both. I know the PRO works all all RX's except the DSM2. I'm pretty sure the non pro works with pro RX's. It just doesn't take advantage of the faster frame rate.
