Hey Robert

The New GX for 2011 will be numbered as Gen 6. This is in accordance to plans we all made over a year ago so we have to stay on track with that.

Having said that the new GX is something thats going to really turn heads ! its virtually redesigned from the ground up. Go Engine , Simon Yii and many others including myself have contributed to this evolution.

anyway my post is to clear up confusion only. The gen rating system is ther so we can easily differenciate the evolution of the Go engine range for ease of parts selection etc.

hope this helps

Cheers MM

I Talk to Trey once in a while and can order Go engines. I still have parts and rebuild quite a few of them. There are sooo many good engines around the $200 mark and with the economy just can not stock much anyomore.

Just out of curiosity are we going to see a different carb on the new motor. I myself have had no problem with the old one, but i know that is one thing that allot of people have in there head about these engines is the carbs/tuning.

carb issues where only with the older engines, they fixed that problem with the GX series engines, ive had no problems with the GX series carbs at all

You can drop the GO PRS straight into some non GO engines. All it means is the crankcase internal dimensions etc are the same.
You will have to trust us when we say it is a new motor from the ground up. The internal dimensions may be the same but the crankcase is totally different.

Yup, completely new carb on the new motor. Don't know if it has a long needle or not, but it has one feature that you don't have on your existing GX carbs. Can't say anymore than that at this stage. All will be revealled in good time when the powers that be decide to spill the beans.

maybe the GO factory should look at making steel gears for the diffs of the popular buggies/truggies that are going around at the moment, it's the #1 problem at the moment with these over powered motors, no matter what gen u have
