Having had both recently, I'd say the AE shocks are just as good. A bit more mess bleeding the K shocks, but the body coating does make the K shock just a bit smoother (imho) but not enough that I can envision a performance difference.

The new shocks are great! I never had a problem with the old ones I just hated snapping that o-ring retainer in and out, now the're easier to build.

I guess I could post an ad here for the most attention from b4 owners. Is anyone looking to get into short course?? I have a brushless Blitz I'm looking to trade for a b4 or b4.1. Please PM me if you have any ?

On a side note, is anyone else excited about the new AE oil/bottles? Finally AE half-weights, and the nicest new bottles of any company out there. I did not know that Lucas Oil Products is making AE oil. Ought to do wonders for consistency from bottle to bottle. Also nice that they print the CST number of the oil on the label as well as the wt. No more guessing what 'weight' AE oil really is.

DO NOT REAM!!! if u get a really tight 1 then u can heat up the hingepins with a heat gun nice and hot then shove them in the arm and/or block and let cool. can warm the arm/block slightly too. the plastic will cool down much faster than the pin and it'll stretch just that fraction to free a bad mould/bound unit. otherwise...run it in.

Yeah, the new plastic arms wear out and get sloppy fast. No need to ream them out when new.

I had a serious push issue with the front so I made some changes.
Let me know what you think of my setup. I have 50wt red losi oil in the rear shocks running Bar Codes on the front and rear. I changed the shock oil in the front to 30wt. Im running brown springs in the front and black springs on the back. I moved the esc and battery to the front. i layed the shocks down in the front and moved the bottom shock bolt to the inside position on the A arms.
Its a bone stock B4.1 RTR brushless
