sounds like you guys swear by them now. I have run so many different servos in the past and they just more or less burn out with wear not so much braking them though.

I am excited, just got my 1267mg and 1268mg, both HV servos. I ran them on Sunday just using a 6v and they performed great. I think these things are underrated. I can not wait till next Sunday when I will have the 7.4v running through them

Yes, Savox and Team Orion use the Futaba spine.

I have nothing but good things to say about Savox (Team Orion) servos. The only thing to understand before buying one is that they are loud, even while centered. These servos are great at finding and holding center but, you will notice this by the increased sound which is normal and doesn't effect operation in any way. I highly recommend these servos.

I'm slowly starting to put these servos in all my cars. Their price and quality just can't be beat.

Is there a" baseline" for torque and speed before it becomes over kill? Is there a" rule of thumb" as far as steering vs throttle? Servos seem to be a lot like engines; they generate a lot of opinions. I am looking at going with a Savox SC-1258TG using a life battery in a RC8 buggy or maybe the 1257 which is a little faster. I currently use a JR Z900T for steering which is probably over kill for a buggy. The brake/throttle is so old the label is gone. All I know is it is a HiTech that is about 3 years old. Never had any issues with servos. Just thought it is time to replace them. Savox has a really good promo right now!
