Installed a SC 1251 mg low profile in my TC5 vta car. I wanted the lighter weight over speed. GTB speed control, single cell lipo and 1 AAA bat. booster instead of a Novak smart booster so running at only 4.9 volts. Also Airtronics M-11 with Spektrum module and no brown out at 4.9 volts. It wines a little bit but other than that it works and looks great. 65 bucks with a free t-shirt and free shipping im happy so far. My buddy bought the 1257 and holy smokes it is FAST. You CAN beleive the numbers Savox rates them at. My buddies 1257 didnt like his Hitec radio though. With a single cell lipo and a smart booster were talking 6 volts. It was glitching like mad then the owner of the track said Hitec receivers draw more power so we threw in a Futaba 3pm radio and receiver and it worked awesome at 6 volts. Also i have been able to drive 2 TC5s, almost identicaly set up on carpet. One with the Savox 1257 and the other with a Jr 9100s and other than the Savox makes some noise the speed is right there with the Jr. Pretty nice for half the price!
