As far as the 7940 throttle servos for speed..I would much rather run a 7955 or even 7950 at throttle for the strenghth and durability. Just peace of mind to know you have that much tourque at throttle.
With the problems guys have had with these 8T dieing throttle servo's , (mostly setup) just better to be safe than sorry on race day
I made that mistake when they came out I bought 4 of them and then 3 weeks later sold them all at 1/2 price. What a joke. But man they looked cool. I picked up a couple of hv ko's and they look just ad cool. We will see how they hold up. I did learn I just bought 2 instead of 6 to do all my cars. Now time to see how long they last on the track.

Hey Rob glad you are liking the truggy. Are you going to race with us next year? Ya my son rtr is almost race roller now. The only thing left is the front tower, hinge pins and shock shafts.
My wife bought me a race roller for our anniversary so we have 2 now for next race season. For Hardcore the Drake setup works great, just clutch to your liking. Tires will be the huge differance there.
