I like the speed of the 7940 @ 7.4 volts.

45/50 would be my choice.

I am going to convert my 8t to electric for the winter. I will be using the tekin system. Any body have this installed that could point me in the right direction for motor size. I have always been a strictly nitro guy, but need to convert to get some wheel time this winter. thanks.

Integra,

So your saying 7945 at throttle. I didn't even see those. It's a little slower than 7940 and has about as much torque as the 7955. Are you thinking that the 7940 @ 222 oz/in isn't enough, because I really like the speed of it?

So everybody is in agreement for the 7950 for steering.

7940- .06 sec @ 222 oz/in
7945- .10 sec @ 319 oz/in
7950- .13 sec @ 486 oz/in
7955- .12 sec @ 403 oz/in (compared to the 7954 @ 7.4 volts)

Hey guys how much better is the V2 rear tower than the stocker? How much difference does it make in the handling of the truck?

Yeah is 222oz enough for truggy breaks??

You want the 7950 on steering FOR SURE! There's no other servo to run. The 7940 barely holds up on steering in a buggy, it certainly isn't a good fit for the truggy. Throttle is a bit tougher to choose. I've been running the 7940 with great results, but to tell you the truth, if I were to do it now that the 7945 is out, I'd probably go that route. The 7940 is certainly adequate for throttle, but the more torque you have, the more reliable it will be with less chance of a servo failure. I really don't think you need a servo faster than the 7945.

Dave I have been running the 7940/50 combo for over a year now with good results. Depends on what you are use to. I got use to a fast throttle servo when I use to run the JR 9100S and thats what I like, so its all preference. But I would only use the 7950 or 7955 on steering.

I've been running the 7955s for a while now and am pleased, but I'm going to Lipo and want to take advantage of the added speed and torque that is available at 7.4 volts. What bothers me is that the 7955 doesn't have a spec at 7.4 volts...only at 6 volts. I know you can run them on 7.4 volt unregulated Lipos (correct me if I'm wrong).

So if a 7955 is .15 sec @ 333 oz/in at 6 volts, one would think that it would be faster and stronger at 7.4 volts. I'm thinking that maybe .02 or .03 faster and maybe 40 oz/in more torque.

Any thoughts on that?

isn't the 7950 just a 7955 at 7.4volts

Look at the specs for the 7954 same servo with steel gears vs. the titanium gears on the 7955.

NO! 7950 is a totally different servo! Big improvement over the 7955.

Specs for 7955 on 7.4 if i remember correctly were 380oz @ .12

I would personally like to see a little more then 222oz on throttle and Imo Super Fast Servo's are Not needed....I would much rather see too much Torque.

Ok so here it is with the 7955 adjusted to reflect a 7954 spec at 7.4 volts.

7940- .06 sec @ 222 oz/in
7945- .10 sec @ 319 oz/in
7950- .13 sec @ 486 oz/in
7955- .12 sec @ 403 oz/in (compared to the 7954 @ 7.4 volts)

OK got it. Thanks for all your help.

I have a buggy as well and it has a JRz9000T at steering and a JR DS8611 at throttle. Are these servos going to be OK at 7.4 unregulated Lipo and what do you think of the speed and torque on those?
