Read through all 45 pages of this thread here on RCTech and you will have way better info and opinion on the T4.1 and B4.1 then any magazine review!

Magazine review = Big ad, If I read the right magazine it will lead me to believe I can win the Worlds with an Evader!

It does not appear to be the new chassis, there is no set screw for the antenna hole.

Default T4.1 vs RT5

I'm considering a new truck but am torn between the T4.1 FT and the new Kyosho RT5. I've always loved AE for their simplicity and parts availability, but I have heard really good things about the RT5, Anyone have experience with both who can tell me some pros and cons from the 2? you guys are always helpful Thanks....

Hi all,

Can anyone explain me, if the gear differential of the B4.1 RTR also works in the B4.1FT?

I heard that the drivers of the normal B4 version had to change something, for putting in the SC10 geardifferential...

thanks for the answers,
bami

In the 4.1 models the diff drops right in.

I emailed the seller and he assured me it was a T-4.1 chassis. I ordered it so we will see.

I am having a problem with the shocks. They leak after a fresh build. It is coming from the shock cap. I have an oring btw the shock and the cap right?

I had a couple of my shock caps have some flashing on them that cut the o-ring. I took some sand paper and coned the inside edge of the cap where the cap tightens against the o-ring. This also seems to help keep the o-ring from twisting and getting pinched.

My personal opinion, I rate the two trucks pretty much even on the track. I've run the RT5 since it's release, and have switched to running the T4.1 over the last few races for a couple of reasons; but the biggest by far is parts availability. I'm not hard on equipment by any means, and I break very little but it's been challenging to get even small parts on some occasions, and the chances of picking something up in a hobby shop (at least near me) are non-existent.

A couple things to consider on the RT5 - the ballstuds and cups are larger and they hold up very well.. that said, good luck finding a replacement somewhere in a pinch. And the alum rear hubs are considered a required upgrade by most, which is going to add another 40 to your buy in cost.

On the positive side, the quick change hubs / wheels all around is a very nice feature, and the shocks are great. The new AE v2s are nice and all, but I still find the Kyosho shocks to be best in class..

With the T4.1, build it with better ballcups and you're pretty much ready to roll. For me, I don't want to carry an entire kit worth of parts around all the time, and I felt I had to do that with the RT5, where with the AE my odds of getting something trackside (even if its from another racer) are far better. The last thing I want to do is travel a few hours for a race and get hosed by a 3 dollar part

Feel free to drop me a PM if I can help with anything else.

Your just the kinda guy I was hoping to hear from, I'm gonna order a T4.1, I was tempted to try something different but you just can't go wrong with AE. I've been running a FT B4 and I just love that car, do you know if the new B4.1 rear shock tower will bolt onto the old b4? Is it worth switching over to the new hubs and cva's? Thanks again for all your help!!!!
