getting the brushless t4.1 rtr ,what should i upgrade to get it close to the kit ,was thinking v2 slipper, v2 shocks and titanium tie rods with rpm ball caps , keeping motor and esc ,anything else or is this enough , dont want to go to crazy going to race it in between other classes at our track thanks

I would just upgrade the shocks to V2 for reliability and ease of maintenance. I would also upgrade the ESC to something a little ore race worthy. Try the Tekin or LRP. LRP currently has the exchange program, se RC10.com for details. The motor would be upgraded to something like the LRP x-12 or similar. All the other stuff can be added over time once you get the hang of racing.

I would say the RPM ball cups and Associated V2 shocks would be first on my list. Then the V2 slipper and FT rear hubs (0 degree) and front caster blocks (30 degrees).
Of course I wouldn't buy the RTR in the first place. Over time you will end up spending way more money if you just bought the T4.1 FT kit to start off with.

Best bang for the buck, most racers in a class and steady track participation? 2WD buggy
In this area at least 4WD comes and goes and 2WD is always here in big numbers. 4WD I think is just too expensive to own and race for most people.

I'd have to agree with you. 4wd mod is outright fun...more fun than 2wd. However, it's much more expensive...tires!, and the occasional broken parts, stripped gears, etc.

Any one have any advice on rebuilding the shocks?
I have an SC10 and I decided to rebuild the shocks that weren't leaking and now the seal retainer wont stay snapped in.
I have rebuilt them to many times now and only a couple will stay together.
One set the bodies are brand new.

There never seems to be a shortage of the 2wd buggies though. Still going strong.

Pretest your spacers to make sure that they are fitting properly and you can also sand down the center spacer just a bit to give yourself a little extra room so everything will snap into place.
Some green slime is always a good idea, it will help keep those o-rings in one piece as everything is going together.
