im looking for a new mill to run for 2011 season!!!!! looking for a good deal on any .21 engines!! looking for a good price for 2 mills for losi truggy and buggy!!!! will enentually be getting 4 new mills if the first 2 are what are expected!!!!!! i have had all in the past and do have my favorites!!! but alittle pricey for today's racing! i have had a few awsome offers from a few salesmen, but always looking for better! please help a average wage makeing racer out!!!!!!!!!!!!!! here's your chance!!!!! let the agrueing begine!

lol, i feel OS needs to send a extra rod with there engines, i have had many, and all seem to need a new rod after break in. and that is recommend by them also! i pretty much have made my point here, if it was a "what motor is best thread", there would have been 40 posts by now!!!!!!! with a bunch of salesman posting there engines, but i guess they dont want to be noticed on this form of thread....LMAO!!!! OS is on my list! but will want a extra rod if i decide to buy from them!!!!!!!

Have you used the speed type rods? They're much better than the v-spec rods and are standard equipment on the new XZ-B. I find these rods last as long as any other brand. There's no question that the v-spec rods are terrible, but the new ones are much better.

As for recommending a rod change, almost every brand recommends it.

glad OS has fixed the rod problem, a few company's add a new rod with here engines, which is a awsome idea!!!!!!! if OS did that can you imagine how many mills they would sell because of that?!?!? TONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most good motors dont need to come with an extra rod Ive got 9 gallons on my plus 4 with the same rod. now she is getting pinched for a practice motor. and i am using the same rod still tight. always preheat the motor does wonders

NOVAROSSI YA! but OS has had a rod problem for the last 3 years or so, i have had 4 of them and rod goes after 2 to 3 gallons!!!!! please dont tell me his is not true!!!!!!!! i have seen it after spending 279.00 X 4!!!!!! happens every time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, FOR A THREAD I THOUGHT WOULD HAVE 200 POST BY NOW, I HAVE DECIDED........... to go with he only 2 guys that have given me the most help and information through my hunt for new mills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, and feel i should give there name as they where very helpfull the last 2 weeks!!!!!! RUNNE from GO ENGINES has been great!!!!!! and janderson78 from precirotate engines, both have been super helpful and makes me beleive there support will be also!!!!! so on m 4 mills i want! i think i will be buying 2 of each!!!!!!!!!, this thread can now be deleted!!!!

Well, not EVERY time, but there's no denying that the v-spec rods were sub-par. The speed rods have always been fine. A lot of the v-spec problems came from the oiling hole system used. Instead of being in the rod like it should be the oiling hole was in the crank pin... BAD idea. Shouldn't be anymore issues.

I change rods in all of my engines no matter what brand after a gallon or so. Novarossi, RB, OS, etc... To me it is a worthwhile practice. One thing that is nice about OS is you don't have to fork out $60 for a rod.

60.00 aint bad! but when it snaps and ruins sleeve and piston, 179.00 for a p/s/r is CRAZY!!!!!!, like i said before, if they added a rod in there sale, can you imagian???????????? would be he bes selling mill in the world!!!! no joke!!!
