How did you solve the width?
Which arms did you use and how did you mount them?

Length is easy to solve

Arms and c hubs , knuckles etc from a Fujin 4WD MIni. Arms need to be drilled for attaching rocker link as it needs to be more vertical because of the short arms. The arms from the Fujin are not as wide on the inner hinge pin so spacers can be used to make the car LWB. Have not tried to set up for MWB. Not sure if I can get it that short easily. Drivesahfts are 30mm

Arm mounting blocks at this stage are 1C for the front and 1XA front rear and 1C for rear rear. It will only fit the Alfa Mito LWB body as it has a longer front overhang. THe LWB Mini Cooper body is too short in the nose

I thought of this idea but obviously others have already worked it out as well.

Type A is the softest Tamiya tire.

The Traxxas car is not a Tamiya mini, but I think with it's off road roots it could be a very good rally car and a lot of fun. The worst thing about is the price.

More pics, and the full story on how to convert an FF03, into a LWB Mini, HERE.

Straight from the guy who did it first.

You will be forever grip rolling on the carpet with the Type A's Keith.
B's are better and seem to last forever

Hi guys, i need some help with my M05. My local club has a mod class for minis and i want to give it a go. My M05 has a few upgrades and is pretty sorted handling wise my problem is with gearing / speed controller settings. Most guys running in this class are using a hobbywing esc and 17.5t motors, i have a Speed passion v2 lpf and a duo 2 17.5t motor. I ran it last week before racing started and after 2 - 3 mins the overheat protect kicked in I asked in the Speed passion thread for some base settings for the esc but didn't get any help as they seem to be 1/10th touring guys. What i need to know is the fdr of the mini in standard form and any idea of what fdr i should be trying to get. We are allowed to use the fast gear sets and i have purchased one ready. Also what pitch are the gears in the mini and are the fast gear sets the same pitch as standard? The track we race on is 24m x 12m and is quite technical and when i was racing touring car 13.5t the fdr was 7 and above. As for esc settings any advice would be grateful.

A standard M03/05 has a 5.8:1 ratio with a 20t pinion.
However...if you've got the speed-tuned gear set I have no idea what ratio they are.

I think you'll struggle to get info on ESC setting as I think your club is the only one in the world running such a weird motor combo in Minis!
