I feel the Hot Bodies shock is the best shock out there for our cars. You build it just like a touring car shock. Simple. Done.
But I have several IRS shocks that I want to build up with differing shock oils. Does anyone have a foolproof way to build these little buggers? All the ones I've built up in the past, went to crap right away with air. And I have made sure to saturate and massage shock oil onto/into the foam piece. That's usually the culprit. Any other little tricks?
Thanks guys

I know everyone is running 16 guage wire from the ESC to the motor. Would I lose anything by running 18 guage? I will be running either 17.5 or 13.5.

I noticed that with the ch12 shock it would be fine but after a lil while air in it. With crc's encore shock that would never happen to me.

to me it makes no difference, I don't see a need to buy an 'option' that doesn't actually upgrade anything. if it was a upgrade that actually made the car work better.....well then you might have a point

I rather like the Silva shock now that I figured out to change the bladder once in awhile. The new CRC shock is really trick too.

I don't know when any option chassis would be available from T.O.P. but I honestly don't see what the big deal is. The car was designed to accept both cells and lipo. Maybe I just don't see something, do some people not buy CRC cars because they accept cells?

I'm pretty sure if you lick the foam... it works better.

Disclaimer: Never listen to my absurd joking with Jaybee.

I haven't built the IRS shocks, but back in the 90's racing oval pan, I built some mean shocks.

I'm going on the assumption that the shaft o-ring is bottom loaded with some form of cap, if that's not the case, you'll have to let me know.

I try to fill the shaft o-ring area with shock oil [shock shaft installed] before sealing it up with the cap, then fill and bleed as normal after that. I put the bladder in place before the cap, and try to tighten it just enough that the preload collar can be adjusted without unthreading the shock cap, but not as tight as I can get it. Seems to work pretty well for me to limit air getting in the shock.

Again, sorry if the IRS shock isn't bottom loaded with a cap and my personal regimen won't work for you.

Hi guys. First off lots of knowledge and good stuff in hear. Thanks for that. Got my first 1/12 going a gen-xl. Im having a wierd problem though.

The car wont give me the same ride height right to left. The front will be level but once i start going towards the back of the car one side is lower then the other by about .5 maybe even almost 1mm. I have checked and double checked everything and gone nuts looking for a explanation.

Things i have checked

Front ride height spacers and rear ride height adjusters are correct and match.

Tires are equal from left to right. Ive even tried with new tires not trued that are perfectly even.

Car is not tweaked even though i dont think that would make the difference.

The problem gets worse as it go towards the rear of the car.
The pod is not even either. I am at a loss. What could cause this. Im new to 1/12 scale but i cant see what im missing as there isnt much to it. Thanks for the help in advance guys
