I agree that losi is always working on new stuff, so you never really know when a new update is to come. My theory is that any major update won't be until after the worlds. Even then if there is anything it will be the buggy first like always and the truggy will follow a couple months later. That's assuming that there will even be an update, which is definitely not certain, and not really needed IMO. So even if they do update it you won't be getting an updated version any time soon. Buy the current one unless you're into waiting SEVERAL months.

Well my question got lost amidst the chaos:
Whats the difference between the green buggy and black truggy outdrives? Are the black outdrives just made out of a harder metal? My truggy needs new rear out-drives and I have a crap load of buggy outdrives.
EDIT:
Hmmm, I see Losi did a running change with the outdrives. LOSA3505 in the manual leads to the HD outdrive set.

If you follow worlds, you may hear a hint of new products. I dont see t hem coming out with a completely new platform at the moment. They just did a BIG release of the EU not to long ago. Inclined spindles will (I dont think) will not come with a new roller, Its an option part, I know quite a few people that do not like them, and word at the tracks is they are not for every track, especially here in the states. I think Losi have a good product in the 810, dropping right before Christmas, and with the economy not being so bad at the moment, I bet they are expecting to sale alot of them. But I also think by next summer, you will see ALOT of them for sale used as people find they are under power and upgrade for the 8 RTR or roller. I dont think they will have there own separate class any time soon. Thats why i think losi made it alitte smaller so that it can fit in to multiple classes.

It's about time Losi came out with a cooler looking wing..whats the talk about 1/9 scale it says its 1/8 on the Losi site??
Also i have a question..does the 10 deg incline spindle setup take away offpower steering??

Its not an 1/8 tho, its got a smaller foot print and uses smaller parts, Smaller motor, Smaller Fuel tank, If it were an 1/8 it would be in direct competition with the RTR which wouldn't make much sense.

Well, I just threw them on since it really needed a rebuild. I'll just pick a HD set up at the LHS later.

WOW do we really need to continue this silly debate. It is NOT 1/8 scale. Maybe in size, but not in design. Period! I've seen quite a few TEN-T's and they aren't 1/8 scale either. This is merely a TEN-T buggy. When have you seen any true 1/8 scale buggy use a small block engine?
Losi calls it 1/8 scale because it is similar in size to a 1/8 scale buggy. But if we follow that logic, SC trucks should be called 1/8 scale as well.
