Odonnel 97T, it's what everyone runs. Get a couple of them and you'll never touch a P3 again.

Default Hello

The OS plugs are high quality plugs, however, they don't have the same taper for the turbo plug Nova engines, you can put one in there and it will work, but sometimes going back to an OD or Nova plug it can leak and make the engine stall. Sometimes not, but sometimes. I have found the OS plugs are good, but are a little hot and the thin wire burns out faster, esp, in hotter climates. the 97T is the best, no doubt about it...

If the p4 plug is cooler than the p3 then it should be better than a p3....and last longer...

Look at the coils of a 97t, then of a p3. Big difference, the 97t lasts longer because of the thickness of the wire, and they are half the price, win win...

Now in the winter or colder days the 87t would be just fine. If you live where it's mostly colder than 75 degrees then the 87t would be the ticket..

For the rest of us in hotter climates the 97t survives the burn....

For example in the winter in Texas, not really cold here, but it can be 50 degrees outside, and the engine needs a slightly hotter plug, a med hot usually, and the engine comes off the track at 230 degrees....keeps the idle up and steady....

In the summer. 90 plus temps, the cooler plug the 97t keeps lit all day long no matter what, and keeps the idle lower. the engine comes off at 250. That 20 degrees difference is why you change temps on the plug. The change isn't dramatic plug wise, you should never need a super hot plug, or extra hot or whatever, not should you need a dedicated cold plug..

6 gallons on 1 plug man that's just plain crazy. I know guystyat change them every race weekend let alone 6 gallons. That's like 6 months of racing every weekend. The nitro gods must love you.

O'donnells 97t in my Nova, and the same plugs on all my engines. Always have great idle, and last long. Clunk style tank + 97t = Idle all day long. I have never seen a 87t maddog only a 77t

ultra c6tgc work great (comes with engine)
ultra c5tgh work killer (supposed to be for on road but i have done some testing and results were very good)

both the most expensive and great quality

odonnell 87t awesome plug !! love it

odonnell 97t easy to tune , makes great power and at 5$ is the cheapest of all

OS P4 is great. I started with a P3 because I run it in every other motor I have (Speed, Ninja, Vspec, P5). The motor did not like the P3 and seemed flat, I thought it was just not broken in yet, or it was just the smoothness that everyone talks about. After about a gallon it fried a P3 so I tried a P4 and it has been solid ever since(about 2 more gallons). With the P4 it screams and holds a tune really well. I did try another turbo head in it with a 97t and it ran similar to the P4, so since I have OS in everything else and can get them locally in Japan, I switched back.
