hey guys, built my b4.1 yesterday and went together really well.

I have built a bunch of B4's so I did not use the manual but my mate who built his today noticed that there was a new 16x10mm outdrive bearing which is different to the B4 which was imperial

this must mean that the diff outdrives are also a running change. did anyone else notice this change? it means I have a bunch of parts that are no good for B4.1 now.

that's the optional ball diff for the sc10. the ball diff outdrives fit the tranny case for the gear diff, which is stock for the rtr/kit sc10.

Yes they are metric. The outdrives, t plate and tranny case are from the SC10

AE fans might like this one....

R/C Evil Empire recently caught up with Team Associaed/J Concepts driver Tanner Denny.

At 15 years old, Tanner is one of the up and coming racers in the off-road circuit. Tanner took time out to talk to us about his racing, goals, practice, and more!

The change make for a big improvement with how free the transmission spins...

Major improvement ...

I just got my T4.1 today and was wondering how long of a build it is? I won't be able to touch it until next week and just want to know if I should cut out some overtime at work and be able to get it together in one night?

I've seen guys knock out AE kits in 3-4 hours, and I've seen guys take 12 hours.

I like to take my time...building a kit is therapeutic (no noise from the kids, wife, etc). I don't even look at the clock, but I can tell you I spend a solid day building the kit and another day painting/trimming/detailing the body.

So, prob between 6-8 hours if it's one of your first kits.

Anyone know if a MMP fits inside the B4.1 chassis?

And if not, looking for a esc that will fit, one that I can run stock with in the winter and has the toys to run mod come summertime...

Yeah probably does. I've seen it on the SC10 (which is pretty much the same chassis as a B4, sans increased wheelbase).

Tantric kit building. Nice.

Now for a question. Is the plastic used on the new kits similar to the standard plastic used in older non carbon kits?

I think he's refferring to height. I think it'll hit the body. Maybe a Jconcepts body, there side pods on the body are taller. I run Tekin RS pro so it always fits in whatever car.

Ah, gotcha! Yeah, I run the RS as well...fit's literally anywhere. Even on top of the servo (I've seen it).

I think the plastic is different; a lot of people have commented on how their existing setups did not produce the same results on the track.
